Ravens

Hello, I'm looking for a little advice. My Druid is now level 37 and specialises in fire elemental magic. It's the most fun I've had in a long while, but I find myself with a glut of skill points, since I tend to hoard them until absolutely necessary. I have about 7 spare and I'm thinking of putting about 5 into Ravens, because I'm dreading Nightmare Duriel and any other bosses capable of taking down my merc with amazing speed. Will 5 ravens keep monsters like Duriel at bay for a useful period of time while I open a fissure or two?

my opinion no. but maybe someone whos more experience will say so other wise. they do barely any damage. and its not like they have knock back and throw duriel away from you. but then again who knows.

No they won't realy keep him at bay most people keep one point into ravens and let +skill take care of the rest. If you have to rely on them to kill your in trouble.

Grizzly is the solution, coupled with a 10+ Oak and prebuffed before casting. By nm act 2 you should be lv 50 and have found/gambled/crafted/imbued some circlet or ammy that allows you to do so.

The Grizz can corner bosses, last quiet a time and you can place volcanoes under the boss to your hearts content :)

Thanks for the replies! Wasn't too keen on grizzly because I've avoided the summon tree, except for oak sage, so I thought what with synergies and all that the grizzly would be weak and useless as a meatshield. It's worth a go though, and as soon as I reach nm Duriel I will write protect my savegames and give it a go.
