hey guys. I read the ias tables by jrichard. friend found a rare claw with some nice mods, but no ias. its a suwwayah. was wondering if with a 15 ias jewel, it would hit max bp. if I understand the table correctly, you need the -15 bp to hit max ww fpa with claws, and that seems to be it. Somone plese correct me?

I also just got a nice suwwayah - 345%ed, 7%mana steal, 188 ar, ias... going on my latest kicksin at only lvl 55

just wondering, why would u put it on a kicksin, unless its a ww/kick hybrid, and if it is, wouldnt u want something with ow?? sorry, maybe i missed something...

When I posted it on another trading forum, I was given a bit of attitude saying that the claw, coupled with a chaos claw, would need 33% IAS in order to reach the maximum breakpoint. Since I'm terrible at reading those tables, I wasn't able to respond. Looking at jrichard's excellent work, I find that I still can't understand those tables -- certainly through no lack of clarity on his part.

First off, to be clear: the reason the claw is useful is because of the fool's mod, which can give insane AR to a pvp wwsin. It's my understanding that the claw needs to be on Inventory Left slot (ie, the right hand) in order for the AR bonus to work with ww.

If anyone could explain to me how to arrive to the -13% IAS on this claw to achieve max bp, I'd be quite grateful. In any event, thanks to Welt and all the other fine folks who responded.

The AR bonus should be functional in either hand, though only for the claw in that hand.

Subtract any IAS on the weapon itself from the WSM (called the "speed" on the Arreat Summit pages) of the base weapon type. If the result is -15 or less (technically -13 or less) then you'll be at the fastest WW bp with that weapon.

So suwayyahs at a WSM of 0 will always need at least a 15 IAS jewel to reach the final bp.

Although I've learned to mistrust what the screen says with regards to AR and Damage, if the claw is equipped on Inventory Left, the AR bonus appears on the ww AR slot :/
