    Ranged Character Builds

I had an idea to beat the game with each charracter playing a ranged build. I'd like to note that I am no good at switching between skills quickly so if a specific build requires this please don't suggest it. Thank you. Here are some of the builds I am thinking of:

    Amazon:
    MA Bowazon (almost done)

    Assasin:
    Trapasin

    Nercomancer:
    Fishymancer
    Bowmancer

    Barbarian:
    Double Throw Barb

    Sorceress:
    Bowchantress

    Druid:
    Hunter
    Fire Druid
    Elemental Druid

    Paladin:
    Throwadin
    Ranger

    What do you guys think?

Don't forget Bonemancer, unless you're going for all bow-using characters. And I seem to recall in 1.09 there was a Throwmancer? Hm..

Just to pass along some info, the Assassin's forum has a neat sticky thread about the "FurySin", an assassin whose primary attack is blade fury. Blade fury itself doesn't do that much damage, but that's not the point, since a whole bunch of neat mods from your equipment will transfer. Crushing blow, elemental damage, freeze target, open wounds, slow target, knockback, etc. The best part is that blade fury fires like a frickin' machine gun, with its speed fixed at 5 (or 6) frames per attack, so you're shooting blades at 4-5 a second... irregardless of whether you're slowed, chilled, or whatever. Oh yeah, you can use ethereal weapons too, since BF doesn't use up durability. The only catch is that while the build is reputedly awesome in PvM, it ain't so hot for PvP. </end sales pitch> That's gonna be my next build once i MF the equipment; see the assassin's forum for details.

    P.S. I swear i wasn't paid to advertise for the furysin :)

Sounds like fun. Best of luck to you. I particularly want to see the Mat Bowchantress and the Pat Throwmancer.

A Fishymancer hardly counts as a ranged build, does it? Bonemancer would be a more likely ranged Necro build, and it requires virtually no switching--Bone Prison/Wall on right click and Bone Spear or Spirit on left is about it. You could even try for a Dentist build, although you'd probably have to be slightly mad... :)

Other than that it looks like an interesting mix of characters--good luck!

A skelliemancer using lots o' mages would qualify. It would be really hard, but it might work out.

Maybe you guys missundertstood me. I don't plan on playing all that I list. I want to play one ranged build from each class and was wanting suggestions for what I should play. The ones on the list are just ranged build I thought of as I wrote it.

I am a fan of the Ranger...It was difficult (still working on completing the pat on him), but I chose the Frost Ranger over the fanactism and am enjoying him. I tried the throwadin, but did not enjoy him much. Definately go with the ranger here :)

    Amazon: Dual-element Magazon.

    Assassin: Blade Fury Assassin.

    Barbarian: Dual Thrower.

Druid: Hunter. (Summons and a bow).

    Necromancer: Easy: Spearomancer. Interesting: Bow/Mages.

    Paladin: Frost or Shock Ranger.

Sorceress: Rocket-launcher (ranged enchantress with "fires explosive bolts and arrows").

Hmm.. dunno if you want spellcasters or no, but I sure do :D

Amazon: Lightning / Poison Javazon, any Bowazon, etc
    Assassin: Furysassin, Trapper
    Barbarian: Thrower
    Druid: Wind, Fire Elementalist
    Necromancer: Fishy, Poisoncro, Bone Mage
    Paladin: Hammerdin
    Sorceress: Anything :)

That was gonna be my path since I was simply scared of melee'ing through Hell.. then I started a Zealot :p
