quick WWS Q

does the witchwild string fire magic arrows equal to your slvl? Do non amazons fire at lvl 1, and for non zons can the slvl be boosted by +zons skills and +skills?

Also, is Lycander's Aim good enough, upped, for hell and what's the reqs?

The magic arrows that it shoots are at level 20. It's skill level cannot be boosted by +skill items. I think this goes for all characters using the bow. Not too sure though.

About the Lycander's Aim, I don't know the level req of the GMB version of it, but the str and dex req would be 108 and 152 respectively.

cheers!

Oh yes it can. Having a WWS zon myself, I was able to test that.

Without my Shako, my normal shot's minimum damage from WWS's magic arrow is over 600. But when I put the Shako back on and add +2 to all skills, the damage *increases* by at least 100, proving the skill level CAN be boosted. I assume this would apply to all characters as well.

For an elemental bowazon an upgraded lycander's is great with the +4 bow skills. For a physical damage bowazon +skills do practically nothing to raise your damage (bows have pathetic base damage), lyc's is +10 base speed and a high end upgraded one would only get near 300 max damage. An upgraded WWS or windforce would totally crush an upgraded lycander's. Beyond 1-2 player hell games the upgraded lyc's would seriously show it's lack of power.

I think the question was whether or not + skill items grants + skills/extra damage, to a WWS magic arrow mod, on a non-zon character. It is a good question. In other words, if you put a WWS on a barb, and then place a + 2 to skill item on him, will he shoot magic arrows at the + skill level (lvl 22) or the original lvl 20?

Maybe I'll have time to find out tonight, when I get home, if no one else does it before me.

There is no way +2 skills can increase minimum dmg by 100 in a test like this.

AFAIK the Slvls are fixed.

I saw the results with my own eyes while at home on my lunch break.

Shako off: min. damage is 600-something
Shako on: min. damage is 700-something
(can't recall the exact numbers at the moment)

So it's obvious to me that Slvls are NOT fixed.

After further testing, I discovered I was wrong. What I thought was the + to skills increasing my damage turned out to be my attack rating affecting it instead.

Sorry for any confusion I may have caused.

I have the same question. I have a zon that I am about to delete due to gross misplacement of stats. I have 2 skill lvls left over and I would like to see if adding skills to MA would increase the MA lvl of the WWS.

If i MAX out MA at lvl 20 will i then have a lvl 40 ma with the WWS?

I would think not since it says "fires Magic Arrows (lvl 20)" and not "+20 to Magic Arrow." much the same thing goes for the kuko and exploding arrows.

also the Shako gives + to all stats (including dex) which could increase your damage.

If +skill items added to MA and the MA on the WWS stacked on top of your own MA level you would hear everyone on this forum screaming about how there lvl 48, 49 or 50+ MA "will roxors your soxors"

also the Shako gives + to all stats (including dex) which could increase your damage.

But First I have to trade for a decent WWS.

Doesn't work. The Slvl of Magic Arrow fired by WWS is fixed.
