Quick Question, how many max sockets on a Zwiehander?

5 or 6 max sockets... Found an eth, no socket one on a hell baal run, would make a nice honor merc weapon for a 27ish dueler..

Damn, and I threw it away... thinking it would get 6, making it useless.

even if the max sockets was 6, you still would have a chance of 5 sockets using the add socket recipe in the horadric cube

i had a nice little scheme at the start of 1.10 when everybody & their gran was trying to buy 4 socket flails, i would just farm areas in nightmare collecting all the white flails that dropped and using the cube recipe on them. I turned about 7-8 useless flails into nice little trade items this way
