Quick question about perfect skulls

Are they considered equal to pgems in trades most of the time, or slightly better? They drop a lot less often, and their mods are better.

Well most people in the trading forums (or maybe ALL) count perfect skulls just like perfect gems. But perfect amythests are worth more than the regular perfect gem to most people. So 1 perfect amythest = 2 perfect gem most of the time.

perfect gems have value becaue they are consumed in a cube recipe: 3 pgems + 1 magical item = that magical item with new (random) mods. Lots of people gather high-level Grand Charms to re-roll in hopes of getting a GC with a + to skills mod ('skiller).

Perfect amethysts are also consumed in one of the popular Crafting recipes, I believe it's the Caster items that take a pameth. Blood recipes are also popular, and they use prubies. Since these are consumed at a higher rate, some traders count pameth and prubies as being worth 2 perfect gems - although many do not.

In Asia they are all worth the same.

2-4 Pgems for low level uniques, 5-8 Pgems for exceptional uniques, 10-20 for lower end elite uniques.

High end uniques for Mid to semi high runes.

I usually always sell all my MF findings for Pgems so as I can re-roll skillers.

Very easy to chew threw a couple of hundred.

I think the odds are about 1/22 roughly.

Although I think my luck must be slightly off average LOL seems to take a good 30 rolls.
