Quick cubing question

So we all know that ilvl matters when rolling charms - but does the same go for Jewels? ie. if I want to roll a nice 40/15, do I have to have a jewel from Baal? (Of course, wouldn't *want* to roll a 40/15 cuz I'd never be able to sell it...but the point being...)

Anyone?

According to www.d2data.net, 31-40%ed is a L66 mod and 15%IAS is a L39 one, so any jewel from hell mode will be good eonugh for that, I think.
I'm not entirely sure of how to interpret affix levels correctly, but Act 1 Bloodmoor is lvl 67, and it doesn't get any lower (in hell that is).

For Jewels (Qlvl 1) the Ilvl (And thus Mlvl) is qual to the Alvl, so in any level in hell you can find Ruby Jewels of Fervor.

So more importantly, any hell jewel can be cubed to create any possible combination, regardless of a lvl 1 char doing the cubing?

There aren't any affixes which need a level higher than 66, so any affix can appear on any hell jewel. Character level doesn't matter.

So long as you're using the "3pgems + magical item = new magical item" recipe.

The rare rerolling recipes take clvl into account.

Possibly a dumb question here, but do you use 3 perfect gems to re-roll the jewel?

EDIT: nevermind, question answered.

You can reroll any magical (blue) item with that recipe. I never tried it with anything but GCs in the recent past, but it will lose etherealness IIRC.
