    Questions about items for a hammerdin

    I've seen many combinations of items out there for hammerdins. Im looking to have max resists in hell first then secondly to have damage, Thanks.

    My GEAR Questionable gear
    Wizardspike 75 resist all 50 fcr vs Hoto 30-40 resist all 40 fcr 3 skills
    Hoz
    Shako
    Serpahs Hymn vs Maras for resists?
    Trangoul's gloves vs Rare resist all/other mod gloves?
    Verdungo's coil 11% vs Arachnid Mesh
    Sandstorm trek vs Waterwalk?
    Raven's Frost
    BulKathos vs Soj (Can't afford, I know its better)
    The +15% max resist all, 1 all skills armor vs Enigma BP


    Can, someone who has max resists in hell, and does decent damage post their items, it would be very helpful. Please explain why you would choose one item over another thanks. *pepperisadog @UsEast [L]

    My hammerdin uses the basic cookie cutter gears:
    Shael'd Shako - 2 skills, dr, massive life and mana
    32 Hoto - 3 skills, 40fcr, increased mana
    Pdiamond Zak - 2 pally skills, 69 all res, 2 combats, rest is gravy
    21 Mara's - res, stats, 2 skills
    Archon Enigma - 2 skills, str, mf, tele
    2 soj - mana skills
    Tgods - light absorb, str, vit
    Tearhench - dex, str, res
    Mages - fcr, mana regen
    Anni - 19/12/9
    2 pcombats

    He does 11K damage, 75 75 85 75 in hell.

    Few more questions arise. Why the shaeld shako? What are the different types of enigmas? What changes in them? What are their prices? Which is best for my type of build?

    Shael in a helm gives 20% faster hit recovery; some people prefer that over a perfect topaz/whatever else you'd like to put in there [IE: ber for more dr, etc.].

    People make enigmas in low str., light armours. Like archon plate [103 str, up to 1378 def. perfect], dusk shrouds [77 str, not sure of the max defense], and breastplates [30 strength, 850ish defense I think?]. A good archon will run you quite a bit, but a breastplate 'nigma will run you somewhere around 4 ists on ESCL.

    i use silkweaves for boots, the +mana/kill is just perfect, can't live without it.
    Wizspike, arach and magefist for fcr breakpoint - both nice for spamming hammers and tele.
    Shako is a must, so is enigma, sojs and mara. Have a Ber in my Hoz, but didn't socket it myself. But with wiz and mara i still have max res.

    On Hammerdin guide for max damage, it says to use Skin of Vipermagi, insted of a nigma'd body armor, which shood i use?

    The better damage armor depends on fcr breakpoints i.e. your other equipment. So if u can reach a higher breakpoint with viper, then that is better than +2 skills compared to +1.

    But if u have played with enigma its hard not to get addicted to tele, especially as u have plenty of mana and nice fcr. Its invaluable in eg. diablo runs, only going after boss crowds and diablo himself.

    I don't know about teleport. Charge and vigor gets me where I need to go rather quickly ;-)

    Depends on where u go. As i said getting to eg. diablo is way faster with tele than running. And meph too as u dont have to worry about walls and lava pits

    hey dont listen to anyone but me all them make the generic hammerdin who gets owned. read my guide or simply get some absorb gear. nigma is important and hoz
