questions about die facets

actually i believe it just means you have a 600 % chance of castling lvl 40 whatever, which doesnt really matter cause 100 % will do it for ya.

Well..hmm, best way I could explain it would be using the "stack" (mtg reference :cheesy: ). In mtg, whenever a spell is cast, it goes onto the stack. Top to bottom, where whatever's on the top resolves first. It's sort of roundabout, but I guess what I'm trying to say is:

The "100% chance to cast el-blargh" effects (since granted by a diff item each time) would stack on top of each other. The only difference being they wouldn't resolve one after another, but simulataneously. I think.

You could always donate a 5/5/die cold facet to me, and we could check this out :)

someone should make a hireling, and fill his equipment with all of the die gems, each element. then go into pvp games, and have the merc go kamikaze. before they know what hit them, they're dead.

I'm surprised there isnt something like this in HC by now (someone loading up a merc with the maximum of 13 facets and having a char kill them to i dunno "Test" something it sounds harmless until BAM no more char.. im surprised i havent heard aynthing about this if stacking is true

btw where you geting max of 13, act 3 merc, six sock sword, 4 sock shield 4 sock armor and 3 sock helm. 17 sockets. But i believe they do not stack, so it would not really matter.

If they didn't stack, why would people mostly only want Die facets? The only reason I see people buying lvl ones is because they generally cost less. If only 1 spell was cast, no matter the number of die facets, then it would make much more sense to socket 1x Die facet and the rest as lvl facets.

well the reason people probably want die facets is cause they most likely only use one. The rests of the sockets, if you are rich enough to afford death facets, are probably filled with um's and the like. And if theyre going to have one facet, why not make it a die facet?

True enough. I suppose if they were to get multiples, they'd also get dies to keep the value of their items up. Resale value and whatnot.

That'd be cool though. A kamikaze character...have to be a barb of course, with a tele ammy (so armor doesnt lose 4 sock to enigma) cause then he could wield dual 6 sock weaps. so...6+6+3+4 = 19 facets :cheesy:

Or maybe a sac-adin, tele up to someone, and help yourself along with sacrifice
Not to mention his merc, as described above :p

Still.. I wish there was someone who could confirm this, 'cause I am fairly certain they stack...

If the Slvls and skill are the same, then the percentages will stack. 2 cold die facets make the chance for a Blizzard to appear 200%. But you get only one Blizzard, even if the facets are socketed on different items.
