I have a question :
If i put a ruby in my orb when i use a skill (like inferno or charged bolt) will the ruby affect the skill damage?
and i wanna know a good guide for sorceress with a list of damage of the skills.

Does't work, only useful if you melee/hit with that orb. So sorcs use jools/runes with resist, mf, fhr, mana, life etc... to make better orb. Those gems are useless in weapon slot.

Check sticky, or use skill-calculator to check how much each spell does damage. Google or find link from sticky threads.
