Question!

I was going to build a meteorb sorc, but now I have maxed fireball, should I keep boosting it's strength by adding points to firebolt or should I go for fire mastery and get a decent strength on meteor.

Fire Mastery! This will boost both Fireball and Meteor. The last remaining points you have left then you can put into Firebolt, after maxing FM.

but fm give +7 % dmg to fireball right? While firebolt adds 14% or am I totally wrong. This would give me a higher fireball dmg while my meteor would suffer some, I just wan't to use my remaining skill points so that either my meteor or fireball gets as effective as possible

How much +skill do you get from your gear? How much damage does your meteor and fireball already do? Basically, the more +skill you have, the more you should put into FBolt. Remember FBolt is a synergy for Meteor as well.

I wear: occulus, shako, maras, rhyme, soj, fcr ring, goldwrap, wt, and an anni. Right now I have max meteor and max fireball, max frozen orb. Have +11 skills totally, I also could use some tips on teleporting, how much fcr I should have, and fhr. I currently have 242 stat points left to distribute also, any tips on what I should do with them, I was thinking of going all vit, but after playing with her I'm considering going block since I get stuck if I tele into a crow. Would this change if I added fhr charms??

If you use more fireball then but more points fire bolt than mastery. If you put more points fire mastery you get more meteor dmg. Its up to you what you prefer. I like more fire ball.

And FCR. Try get over 63. Thats enough for teleing fast. It helps lot when you tele crowd. And most times you cast tele before monsters hit you.

Dex i would go max block. You get hits sometimes and that helps there. Try get high block% shield so you dont need to put so much dex. And you still get good vita.

I will have to agree, it gives a balanced amount of dmg to all fire skills, although Bolt may add more dmg to one skill in specific, remember that FM will add to all skills nicely, for those times when you got a big group outa your range, and a meteor seems just right :lol: .

Masteries and synergies are calculated seperatly and mastery is added after synergy has been added! So the add +xx% damage per lvl can be a bit confusing ;)

If you didn't get that... think of synergies as adding dmg to the main skill on its own (without other synergies bonusses)... meanwhile, mastery adds dmg off the main spells dmg after effected by all the active synergies.

Therefore, masteries may be increasing dmg by slightly less %, but the percentage is taken from a much larger amount of dmg than the damage added from synergies are.

I think I get it now thanx for all the replies. Messed around with a skill caclulator, and always ended up with more dmg when I choosed fm over firebolt.
