Question Regarding Fireball

So i have this frozen orb/fireball soso and i already skilled the ice tree and maxed out fireball.
Now my question is if it's smart to invest one point into meteor (which would cost me a total of 4 skillspoints due to the prerequisits) in order to gain more synergy bonus for fireball or should i just put my points into fire bolt.

You'll want to max them both for the most synergy. I do Meteor first since its actually useful where you'll never actually cast Firebolt.

If you're going with a orb/fireball soso, you'll end up with a meteorb anyway...

Did you max ice bolt too? Also how many points did you put into cold mastery?

Alright this is my current statpoint-setup:
Ice:
20P Ice Bolt
1P Frozen Armor
1P Frost Nova
1P Ice Blast
1P Shiver Armor
1P Glacial Spike
1P Blizzard
1P Chilling Armor
20P Frozen Orb
10P Cold Mastery

Lightning:
1P Telekinesis
1P Static Field
1P Teleport

Fire:
3P Fire Bolt
1P Warmth
20P Fireball
1P Fire Mastery

I'm currently getting a total of +4 to all skills. I'm planing to increase that by +2, so my final gear will have around +6 to skills (not counting possible skillcharms).

If it's going to take you 4 points to get to Meteor, don't bother. Just know that you'll be doing maybe 1/2 the damage a synergized Fireball would though. Looks like it isn't your main skill though, more of a backup for cold immunes.
