Question re getting started in trading
Hello D2 community!
I am not new to d2 - I played tons in 2001-2003. I quit prior to 1.10 because i was starting law school. NOw that I see law school is boring and that 1.10 has added lots of new, cool elements to the game I am starting back up.
I remember back in the day a noob could get started trading (w/o getting "freebies") by collecting 40 chips and trading those for something and then gradually working up the chain.
Now that it seems chip crafting has been nerfed, what is the net best way for a noob to get some items that he could use to trade for some goods items?

btw - i am on US east standard ladder. I am using barbs now. (I also bought a 2nd copy of the game which has made muling SO MUCH EASIER. I recommend.)
