Question on "fires magic arrows" thing

Found myself a widowmaker, and saw this mod of "fires magic arrows".

    What exactly does it do??

Is it simply that the arrow you fire will do magic dmg instead of physical?

Or is it that some magic dmg is added to your physical dmg?

    OOR, it's something else?

I would like to know how it exactly works. Plz give me some hint!

    Thanks in advance! :D

*ps1. I heard WWS does slvl 20 magic arrow.. what about widowmaker? what about other bows/xbows with this mod??

*ps2. does GA do magic dmg?

I would assume that widomaker's magic arrows are the same as wws. The bow fires some level of the skill magic arrow. Magic arrow converts a certain percentage of the bow's physical damage into magic damage. I believe lvl 20 ma converts 20% into magic damage. GA does not do magic damage, only physical damage.

it's a different type of damage, so you have 2 sourses of dmg.

that means you can hurt those pesky physical immunes :p

the fire magic arrows/ fire explosive arrow mods are mods meant to aid in acquiring spells normally not used. in your case, whenever you fire you normal attack shot with your widow, it will shoot MAs instead of the usual normal arrows. This mod does not change your arrow, however when used with other bow skills (ie ms, strafe, ice tree, cold tree).

FYI, the slvl of MA for your widow is 11 as compared to a wws's 20. However, some nice mods for this bow like +ga and itd makes it a very ideal bow for pvp though other than the evergreen wf and gs.

AFAIK it also doesn't use up physical arrows.

The fires magic arrows on widowmaker makes it so if you use normal attack, it fires a level 11(?) magic arrow. This won't use up arrows, and gives an attack rating bonus(though it doesn't show up on your character screen), and a little bit extra damage. It will also convert 11% of your physical damage to magic damage, which can help take out physical immunes, though it won't be quite as effective as an upgraded WWS.

As for your question about guided arrow- no it does not do any magic damage. All of the damage on guided arrow is physical damage, as if you were using normal attack(with a bow w/o fires magic arrows mod).

One last thing- using any skill besides normal attack will ignore this modifier, so your strafe/multi/guided/whatever will still use arrows for their attacks, and will not convert damage to magic damage.
