Question about my cleric pally

Was wondering whether he'd be able to smite down ubers. Obviously he would need a substantial change of gear but other than maxed fanat and holy shield is there anything else i'm missing?

My skills are :

Maxed prayer and 1 in each defensive aura.

10 holy bolt
1 Smite
1 Charge
1 BH
Maxed Holy Shield

1 in each Offensive aura, except holy shock and fanat (which is maxed)

My gear is mostly caster based (Wiz, p crown, magefist, Spirit shield). What would i need to obtain decent smite damage with crushing blow?

Just hit 87 and have a few skills and stats piling up, was planning to just dump them in conviction to speed up baalruns, would this be a good idea?

Are you just trying to see if you can do it or trying to do it effectively? I've seen a video of a pally smiting down the ubers using only normal unique/set gear and a wand with lifetap charges. On Hardcore.

About 50% CB is good enough, Dracul's Grasp, a source of OW, high resists, and 1pt in smite are all you need. If you can get a Grief, that makes it go a lot faster.

For skill point question, pumping conviction isn't a bad idea if you are a support character. It helps everyone in one way or another. I'm not sure, but the bug still might exist where if you have the same level conviction active as Mephisto, his aura has no affect on you.

So you've skipped undead slaying... Still, it makes you better against the ubers.
