    Question About Item Upgrades

I know I can upgrade Unique items with Ko+Lem+P.diamond, but would I be able to upgrade SET items with this formula as well? (For example, upping a Mav Battle Gauntlets to a Mav Crusader Gauntlets.)

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Also, Lem + Ko + P.Diddy only upgrades armor, Lum + Pul + PEmerald is for Weapons.

Not really upgraded much items (lack of runes) but was wondering i take it for example if you upgraded a breast plate then it would change with the exact same attributes of the plate (regardless if runeword) to whatever was the one up type of armor from breast plate (this would reroll the base defence for that new type of armor.? Is that about right?

You can´t upgrade runewords. Only unique and rare items.

    For Breast Plates:

A rare Breast Plate would become a rare Cuirass with the exact same abilities as the original. +% defense (if there is any) would be counted using the base defense of a Cuirass.

The unique Breast Plate ( Venom Ward ) would become a Venom Ward Cuirass.

There is one problem with armor items, though. Norrmally, any item with +% defense (superior, magical, rares, uniques, etc.) has a defense based on the maximum possible defense of the particular item type, then the +% is counted based on that, and finally 1 more defense is added. However, this is not true for upgraded items. The new base defense will get rerolled, as you said. This is why certain items are bad upgrades, like the unique Grim Helm Vampire Gaze. A Grim Helm has a max defense of 125 and the defense for the unique is counted based on that. A Bone Visage has a base defense that varies between 100-157, so un upgraded Vampire Gaze is almost equally likely to get worse defense than to improve it.

Some upgrades not only change base damage or defense, since some other stats vary bewteen the normal/exceptional/elite versions, but it´s not common.

    Some examples:

    * An upgraded Dragon Shield would get boosted blocking (Monarchs have more base blocking than Dragon Shields)
    * Some weapons get faster with an upgrade. Scimitar to Cutlass is one example. Espandon to Legend Sword is another.

I have a question about upgrading as well. How is the lvl requirement determined ? For example, a Titan's revenge has a lvl req of 42, it's base item (ceremonial javelin) has a lvl req. of 26. If you upgrade it to a matriachal javelin, what lvl req will it get ? (base item is lvl 48 req.).

Take the highest level requirement of the old item and the new base item, then add 5 for normal -> exceptional and 7 for exceptional -> elite. So an upgraded Titan´s Revenge would have a level requirement of 55.
