    question about fortitude for merc

Im getting gear for my merc now and right now he wears either insight/infinity and crown of thieves.

I plan on building fort for him cause of the 300% ED but i am unsure of what armour i should put on him? Should i just find whatever armour has the highest defense? or does weight play on how fast a merc moves or not?

i have a 4os hellforge platea or i ight have lost that or ornate plate to put fort in for him?

    what do you recommend?

Weight does affect a mercenary speed, though with teleport that is sometimes irrelevant. The best light armor in terms of defense is Archon Plate.

take a high defense eth armor and sock it with cube. there is a 50% chance to get 4 sox and a 50% enhanced defense bonus.

    The result is a forti with more than 3.5k def:grin: . It's a merc only forti:cry: .

Act 2 mercs have about 190 str @ lvl 85, so for eth shadow plate(220 str req) you need an andy too. for heavy armors speed loss is 10%. infi has 35% frw, so make your own conclusions
