Question about Fire Huntermentalist skill point allocation inside!

I'm wondering how people setup their skill points and what they would have done differently- Not enough fire damage, or weak summons, etc.
I probably wont have an uber setup, so the +skills will be on the light/medium side for end-game gear.

Thanks,

My plan was maxing Fiss, Cano, Dire, Sage, and Griz for mine. I played a largely crowd control role while my summons drew fire away from me. This was untwinked by the way. Only thing I'd have done differently would be distributing points between Fiss and Dire evenly instead of trying to max Fissure first.

i've done it pretty much like how ed from russia's guide in the sticky has it.

Ed from Russia said:
As soon as you can, get a point in Spirit Wolves (at lvl 6), 3 points in Dire Wolves (at lvl 18) and Grizzly (at lvl 30). This will be enough for them to shield you against attackers throughout Normal. Max Fissure as quickly as you can, since this skill will make Normal quick and painless. Next, max Dire Wolves to make your summons good tanks for Nightmare. The next step is to max Volcano as your 2nd Fire skill and synergy to Fissure. After that boost Summon Grizzly or the specialization skills you chose. Get the support skills as soon as they become available.
instead of dires though i maxed bear first so i guess i went 3 dire, max fissure, max grizz, max volcano, maxing dires now. not sure where i'm going with my other points after that. i've been thinking of making the physical from volcano hurt more which would be molten boulder if im not mistaken.

I know for sure I want Oak, Fissure and Volcano.

I'm just not sure if I want more damage from Grizzy or for him to be a better tank. Later on he will probably meet the same sort of life/damage as I finish up the summons tree.

I'd like to try the Valk thing with a harmony bow.

Does "Peace" work with harmony? Stand on a fire, spawn the Valk, etc.
If so, I'd just pump up the meat shields first and let me, my beefy merc, the valk, and the summons and volcano deal the physical stuff.

valk is on striking for peace all sitting in a fire'll get you is a slow missle cast. personally i think peace is a waste (if you're thinking of wearing it full time) and if you take it off but still have harmony... dunno if you keep the one that spawned or if it disappears and you have to recast. interresting idea though. i like my valk on my druid, but she isnt cast at a high enough level imo. i need more +all skills to get her a bit beefier.

recently i've been thinking that i may try out HoW instead of oak because my cth is really really low. i want to switch out jalal for a better hat (either rare with more of my skills or shako for helping cast valk) but the 20% ar is really helpfull. an itd bow is definitly a good thing for this guy.

Oh, I see now. "On striking" is way different than "when struck," hah!

I do think the Valk thing works, and at level 15 she'd be pretty beefy. I could then take off the armor and put something more suitable on. That, or just deal with the low valk roll I'm pretty sure I'm gonna get on my Harmony...

Ideally I'd like a cerebus' bite for a helmet. The AR% boost will make my AR charms a bit more effective. Beyond that, I may use an Act 1 mercenary for her Inner Sight and possible Angelic jewelry. I'm not yet sure how to deal with the AR problem, or how big of a problem it will be.

Oak will have to work. I already don't like the unshifted druid's life in Hardcore, not having Oak would be scary for me.

I'm more in favor of investing in Fire synergies (e.g. firestorm) instead of Oak Sage. Fissure is your main killer and is helped by this boost, while your minions last long enough without Oak Sage.

By lvl 30 I prefer to have the following:
- 6 pts in Dire wolves (makes them strong enough)
- 6 pts in Volcano (required if you want to take out Diablo and Baal without too much effort
- 1 pt Grizzly (also for bosses)
- The rest in Fissure

After that I prioritize as follows:
1) Fissure
2) Dire Wolves
3) Volcano
4) Grizzly
5) Whatever you go for.

I'm more worried about the Oak Sage for my life. I don't mind recastable summons.
