    Question about Cow King

    Hi!
I'm making a pure lightning sorceress whose main task is to cow, cow, and cow.

My question is: If I equip my mercenary with an Infinity, and me myself wear a Griffon's eye; will that break the cow king's light immunity?

No, the only two things that break immunities are Conviction and Lower resist, and the only way to break poison immunities is to use the latter of the two. The Cow King's lightning immunity cannot be broken, which, of course, is a good thing.

infinity=conviction with the -res from griffon if your damage is good he will die alarmingly quick (i have done it my self) and that sucks.

Stevomoo, I don't think King's immunity (I am talking about Hell difficulty) can be broken by Infinity's conviction.

M-hm. If CK has more than 116% LR, his immunity cannot be broken by lvl 12 Conviction. I suggest you try it out before actually starting killing cows.

Or when making your runs, just stay away from the "building" - since CK always spawns near there. You loose out on a few cows, but there's still the other ~400 you get to kill.

I agree with the above poster that you really should just stay away from the building.

If he doesn't spawn stoneskin, your merc can kill him in seconds if you aren't paying attention.

    Re: Question about Cow King

I have never seen CK (in hell) have his light res broken, but I havn't done any testing to see if he is always light immune even after conviction from infinity. A merc with high damage polearm can kill him fairly easy though so be carefull around him anyway.

As other have said it's safe to just stay away from the "house" he spawns in :wink3:

    Re: Question about Cow King

Possibly Bremm Sparkfist in Act3 Travincial - maybe not though, since there are two different monsters of "Council Member" type, each with different base lightning resistance, and I don't know which one he grew from.

However, if you can find a Lightning Enchanted random unique monster of a monster type that is normally 50% Lightning Resistant, that would be the same amount as the king (I think).

Why? Are you trying to figure out if you can break the immunity?

If cows have 50% lite-resists normally, and the king is always Lightning Enchanted, then he'll have 125% Lightning Resistance (and an additional 40% if he spawns Magic Resistant). You'll need a high level Conviction and/or Lower Resistance to break a 125% immunity - not just what you get from Infinity and a shopped wand's LR charges. A 165% immunity won't be broken at all.

IIRC, Bremm is in Durance level 3, near the portal to Hell.
