questin about perming characters

it says you need to be there for 2 hours withing 48 hours right?
does that work if u're afk (with alt+tab)? or do you really have to be in game in order for it to work?

You have to be in a game, but you don't have to be active. AFK/alt-tabbed is fine, just as long as your character is in the game and the game doesn't close on you. You'll know for sure when the "expires in 10 days" or however long tag on your character disappears.
