If you just want a char to do MFing only, then i would say that its worth it. Just be reminded that this char will never get into Act4 Hell and so will also never quite reach lvl90 or above. So all you can use that char for it to kill Hell Meph over and over again, nothing else. No high level crafting, no searching for Baal small charms/grand charms to reroll and so on.
If you plan to build a char to do all these other things with, then i think it would be worth it.

If you're planning to get gear for enigma, then yes, I would remake a char so that you can do all of your meph runs with the glitch quest (at least 1000)

Thanks for the replies
One thing I find a hassle is finding games to run mephi in ( I cant do baalruns, since it takes forever to kill meph at players8, and tradegames are often dangerous, because of TPPK, and meph quest being available.

Look for games that might be quest games for ACT4 or above. Also when you rebuild, the best build you can choose is Blizzard. This way you will have good enough killing power to kill at 8 player games as well.
