    Qns on a V/T(PVP)

Hello, please help me out on a few qns regarding a V/T (PVP purpose only).

    1) Regarding the Lightning absorb calculation : Is it if a person have 50% lightning absorb == you deal him no dmg at all even with max conviction/FOH/HolyShock???

    2) I have read that conviction is max at lvl 25. Is it true then if someone have max resistances in hell. With lvl 25 conviction i can get him to -100%? Or only if he's resistances is exactly 75% at hell then i can get him to -100? E.g If he's Lightning resistance is actually 85% but capped at 75% i can only get him to -90%??

    3) I have a build in my mind now. A Templar biased one. 20 FOH/20 holyshock/20 conviction/20 Holyshield/rest smite/fana up to lvl 10 to reach 6fps smite. If qns 1 is yes. then most likely this build == cannot make it. right?

    4) My intended setup is :-
    shako
/ GA(or shaftstop? I am not very rich. No CoH for me. T.T)
    / HoZ
    / Goreriders(or waterwalk?)
    / 2 bul kathos ring
    / thundergod vigor
    / amulet(not sure yet).
I can get a Vex rune, shouldn't be a problem, but should i do a HeartoftheOak? or a Slience phase blade/zerker? which was recommended on the guides?

Thanks for any time spend on the replies(if any). =)

    1) A person must have light resist to go with the absorb. Absorb is rather useless without good resists. Also, absorb is capped at 40%.

    2) Yes, conviction is capped at lvl 25, which equals -150% res. So you won't be able to take someone's light resist down to -100% with conviction alone if he originally had 75% . And yes, if that person has 75% light resist, but an extra 10% stacked, your conviction will lower his light res to -65%

    3) Only problem is, if someone negates your foh, all you will have left is a shitty smite. Also, don't max conviction. With that setup you have +7 skills, which means your conviction will end up at lvl 27.

thx pravda, ur guide has been very helpful, as ur reply here does too. A few more qns, ur guide is a more V based V/T with this skill allocations :
    Smite - Max
    FoH - Max
    Fanaticism - Max
    Holy Shield - Max
    Conviction - 11

    1) May i ask for your FoH dmg?

    2) What setup do you recommend then? for a more Templar based setup rather than a Vindicator based setup? Just gathering more info here. =)

    3) And you mention enigma in your first setup against melee. Can you recommend another item in it's stead? since enigma is consider BM in some duels.

    Thx for ur opinions.

That's my old 1.09 v/t. It's better to do like this now:

    smite - max
    fana - max
    holy shield - max
    conviction - 25 with items
    foh/holy shock - combination of what's left

    1) I think it's around 2k, but it depends a little bit on what gear I'm using.

    2) I guess it depends on what you can afford. I would probably use the same setup as I do now for my v/t. Try this setup if you can't get hold of that many high level runes:

    Shako
    Hoz
    Shaft
    Tgods/String
Wiz Spike/Silence Phase (you mentioned you could get a vex)
Bloodfist/rare/crafted gloves, whichever you think is best
    Raven/bk ring
    Waterwalk
    Mara

    3) I don't consider enigma bm as long as you don't use teleport. If you don't want to use it, go with shaft instead. Bad thing about enigma is that it's harder to get 50% dr without using ber runes in helm and shield.

    Hope this helps

Yes it do. thx alot and I assume that your 2k dmg for FoH is calculated from ur Foh/holyshock mix. Thats all then. thx.
