PVP Zealot

I have decided to combine all of my wealth in order to invest into a single character. I am choosing a zealot as this character for melee PVP purposes. Because of this I have a few questions. I have browsed all of the posted PVP Zealot and Zealer guides on the site but I find myself to be unsatisfied with all of the weapon of choice preferences. To my understanding an EbotdZ continues to be a godly choice for this build, no? However upon release of the Grief Z/PB runeword on nl I am still finding it hard to choose between the two. Are there any other options I should be considering as well? The runeword Death in a berserker axe caught my attention. To put it plain and simple, which weapon is the all around best approach to a pvp zealot nowadays? Thanks in advance :thumbsup:

What realm do you play on? I know for useast grief is considered BM in melee duels. But yea edc, botd, and death are all good, although I think death is sometimes considered to be BM on nl because of the ctc glacial spike, which is funny because before the reset death was just as popular as edc or botd on ladder melee duels.

Eth Zod'd Runemaster Ettin Axe is also a strong option and can be used for quite a few different zealot variants because of the 4 sockets you can use (zod must be 1 of the 5, leaving 4). It also gives you CBF which means you can ditch those ravens and go for dual angelic rings for very high AR. IMO, a very very strong candidate.

Hey also put 1 point up in charge usually can take casters down by switching from zeal/charge.I would use a grief though many people consider it BM so I think a Ebotd would work pretty good as well.Pretty much anything can work but imo Grief is best.

IMO grief only has on good mod for a zealot (+dmg) where as other weapons excel in the survivability aspect while still maintaining a very high damage potential. Grief is absolutely king when it comes to pure damage but doens't have mods alot of the other weapon do.

Also you should always have 1pt in charge since its a pre-req to holy shield.

My current setup consists of

Ap Fort,
a 36/370 Grief PB (Will this be alright for pvp?),
an Up'd: 40-15'd Hoz (like 550 def),
Dracs,
Gores,
Um'd Shako/ G-Face
and dual Angelics + a raven + Hsarus belt/boots for major ar

any comments and/or suggestions? Im considering the non-existent DR and possibly the need for an Eexile shield...

exile (I've never dueled with this, its for pvm)

Charms are mainly max/ar/life GC's and 3/xx/xx small charms

also consider teleport for deling certain classes ,such as bvc.

I think so, you need the damage reduction and the cannot be frozen since your using angelics.
