PvP WW Barb 1.13 Question

He must have just gotten the suffix name wrong, 40 ed/ 9 dex jewel would be ruby jewel of daring.

How ever, I disagree with most of his item and skill choices, that build won't do it in serious pvp.

Read this guide instead: http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/showthread.php?608622-PvP-BvC-Guide

Edit: To be honest, after a quick look, pretty much all of the guides on that site seem bad, I hope you didn't build any of your chars by them :D

I didnt build my barb yet, he's only geared the same way the link i sent ( http://diablo2.rpgstash.com/d2_pvp_guide/#whirlbarb )
Without the jewel and 3/20/20 sc's

Then what build should i trust.. there isnt much recent guides these days =/

The one I linked seemed to be up to date. It's also seriously thought out with lots of math to prove the item choices etc.

i may trust the guide but it kinda annoys me that it's THAT different from what i was going to. What i'm wearing isnt bad but it's always in second choice in this guide opinion. The thing is that i can't try before i go for it xD

The first setup is way better.

Problems with the second setup:

1. Block is mainly used vs. bowas, not as a all around setup. You can get block setup for normal bvc too(making the baba bva btw.), you lose around ~600 hp if you do it.

2. There's no fcr. You need 40 fcr to catch casters, you can sometimes use even 63 fcr.

3. Botd is not the best main weapon, grief beats it damage wise.

4. You should use highlords and dual ravens in your main setup, not angelics.

5. Mixing up the inventory is a good idea, full 3/20/20 is melee duels thing. You want to have 75 res in duels, you also need 4x 5 fhr charms to hit 48 fhr.

6. You want, at least 14 hard points in leap, i'd go for the 20.

There's some points that I could quickly think of.

-The fcr thing is a good point.

So the second setup would be more against melee ? like bvb or bvsmiter ?

-For the sc's is it good if i get like 5x res sc's, 4x fhr and the rest all 3/20/20 ?

Yeah, it's more like a bvb setup. I wouldn't use it againts smiters thought.

I'd aim for 75 all res in main setup, how many you need is hard to say without knowing your exact gear etc. It's easy to check yourself thought. If you get the fhr scs with 5 all res as second mod, you probably won't need many res scs, around 5 is probably pretty close.

I'd get two or three 20 life / 17 mana scs too. It's annoying to play a bvc if your mana is very low.

IMO. You should go with a BvB with BvC gear.So with leap as lvl 1 and max shout with the rest of your pts in iron skin. I never really found the need to leap in killing any other toons besides Paladins.

I disagree, leap is on of your main stun skills and if you ever do team duels, it's an absolutely must to have. Paladins are probably the class it's the least useful againts.

Oh yeah sorry I was only thinking of 1v1 duels. For team I can see the usefulness. I only leap against hammerdins and sometimes smiters. For other classes never found the need.

Leap also allows you to "stomp" on Necro Spirits, even in groups, causing you no damage.
