PVP Thrower HELP?
Need some help folks. I may be wasting my time, but I'd like to give it a go. I made one last ladder and had fun with it, but I remember being abused by any char that had some skill and a decent set up. Although, he did use fort, arreats, rends, etc. and was charged to death or raped by bowas/casters. I think the addition of nigma w/ some fcr and knockback will help. To make him work I'm gonna be usin some stuff which is bm or borderline bm, but given the weakness of a thrower vs. most chars out there, it must be done =). Here's where I'm at so far...
Just to save you from lookin it up, here's the middle road throw ias bp's: 40=5.5 frame, 63=5 frame, 99=4.5 frame
Set up No.1:
2/20/res/stat circ w/ ias/ed jewel
Dungos belt
20ias KB Glove
Nigma MP
Metalgrid (angelic ammy, hlords)
Raven/Raven (angelic,wisp,fcr,dwarf,etc)
Gores
2x eth Lacerators
Switch: 2x wc weps or Cta/hoto or hoto/hoto
7x AR/Lifers, Res/Life scs, (7)175pd/life scs
Torch & Anni
This gives: 23dr,20fcr,65ias
Set up No.2:
COA w/ Ber, 15ias/Res(or AR)jewel
Arachs
Rest of gear is same as above...
This gives: 30dr,20fcr,65ias
I tried to work in a Giant Skull/Trangs but u can't hit the 63ias bp w/o sacrificing more dr which is skimpy as is. I also could put on 2 fcr rings to hit the 37 breakpt and live w/o the cbf if need be.
Skill set up would be as a basic thrower, but I'd like to have a secondary attack.
20 dbl swing
20 dbl throw
20 throw mstry
4 speed/stam/skin/natres
15-20 bo, 1 bc
That would leave me roughly 20pts to play with depending how high I lvl him.
Now here's where I get fuzzy. :scratch: Do I go w/ frenzy or ww as secondary attack?
Also, I'd have to split up my pts on axe mstry and combat skill.
Frenzy could get me some decent dmg/ar but does nothin vs. smite which is a big concern in pubs.
WW would have lower dmg and ar, but would help to get outta nasty situations and a good way to get OW going.
