PvP Psn Javazon

Hello all,

This is my 3rd attempt @ making a psn jav, the first 2 didnt go as planned but I have to admit I really didnt put much of a effort into them either. I dismissed this type of java 2x in past because I had other things to focus on and didnt have the time/patience to perfect them(or items). Ive been collecting gear for this java for over a year and finally have my 50% ap bramble! Sadly I must admit I did not roll this so hopefully it's 100% perm item! So far its lasted thru many chaos/baal runs. Any how now the real problems/goals.

In theory...i'm trying to use venom charges off of archnid belt to trigger w/ my plague javs.. I think I had it work last night in pub dueling...a hdin I was dueling vs went down instantly and he was shocked...

I'm thinking my AR is a issue 5.2k w/ gear+demon limb(chant)...
I have not used most of my stats yet so if I have to I can pump my dex for AR and I do have skills saved so I can max penetrated for AR if needed..

Does this work ? Anyone know??

I'm just confused about this right now...dont care for pvm w/ this char.

Gear:
Helm - shako / kiras
armor - Bramble / bplate enigma
ammy - +2 pris zon
rings - soj and bk
belt - archnid
boots - wwalks
gloves - trangs
shield - ss

lvl 85 , 30 skills untouched!

Anyway, your idea won't work. No selfrespecting - not even pup-duelers - will get physically hit by a poison javelin. You'll never get enough ar, it's much to hard to aim at a running/teleporting target and you can't put pressure on them because you have a 0.5 sec casting delay. Therefore, venom charges see very useless to me. On the other hand, archnid is a good belt IIRC, life and +1 skill?

Anyway, are you sure trangs give you more damage then skill gloves? Don't you think you need always some cannot be frozen as in raven frost?

P.S. did you ask that hammerdin what poison res he had? Often, poison res is considered the less usefull and they never use poison length reduction - both are needed to counter poison at it's best effect. It may be that the hammerdin simply didn't have any poison res and died fast because of that, and not because venom kicked in. Though if you were to get a physical hit, every char will get killed super fact. Though I don't think you will hit often enough even if you get your ar up sky high.

All these are valid points.

If I may chime in on the Trangs Gloves Vs. Skillers topic. . .Trangs and +2 skillers are roughly the same (damage wise) with a slight edge to the skillers, BUT over +2 and the skillers do more- WAY more. Try to find/craft yourself a pair of +3 skillers (more if possible). I don't think the poster mentioned what Jav's he was slinging. . .Titans or better I would hope. I'd swap the bk for RavenFrost. . .but that's just me.

Wanna see something cool? :scratch: Swap out the Bramble (I know, a 50% Bramble is quite lovely- more so for PvM than PvP I think, but bear with me. . .) for Treachery. Chuck some Javs until the Venom triggers, then watch what happens to your killing speed (even Vs. high poison resistant foes). It's almost unfair. *IF* the poison jav actually hits the target (meaning that it is not blocked, dodged, avoided, etc. and passes all chance to hit checks and actually physically connects and damages the enemy) then the Venom damage will STACK ADDITIVELY with the Poison Jav.'s damage for the LISTED DURATION which, on a poison jav is quite lengthy.

The hardest part is, like NASE eluded to, getting the poison jav to actually hit said Paladin before he can part your hair with his war hammer.
