PVP Poison Nova Build (need suggestions/help)

Hi there,

Going to make a poison novamancer for mainly pvp. Im on ladder europe so i dont have access to enigma/cta etc.

I still need to work out the skills plans and the gear. I have lots op options to choose between and i need some suggestions/help.

Skills:

This skills are wich i will choose anyway.
1 Teeth
1 Corpse Explosion
20 Poison Dagger
20 Poison Explosion
20 Poison Nova
1 Bone armor

Leaves about 28-32 skills left till lvl 80-85.

My plan:
20 Lower res
6 preskills

4 points in summon tree for fire golom.

Dont know if this is any good, atleast i want some 10 lower resistance.


Enquipment:

Weapon: Wizard spike / Death's web +1 -49%
Helmet: Shako um'ed / +3 P&B Circlet with 2 poison facets total +8% -6%.
Armor: 50% res upgraded vipermagi
Gloves: Trangoul
Belt: Arachnid / Trangoul
Boots: Marrowwalk
Shield: Trangoul (with 2 other to it gives -25%res) / Homunculus pdiamond
Rings: Ravenfrost, Manald (need some other)
Amulet: +2 p&b skills 20 all res with other mods.


So my questions:

1.) What extra skills?
2.) Max block or not? (if shield = homunculus)
3.) Trangoul gloves/belt/shield or Homunculus/Arachnid/Trangoul gloves
4.) What weapon? Wiz spike for max res, Death web for killing?
5.) Shako or more poison damage circlet?
6.) Max lower resistance or not? (Will have lots of +curses)

Yes, i have.

But i never played a poison necromancer before, and i wonder if someone who played one could share some experience.

poisenmancer :) the most fun chars to play ever lol

if you pvp then id put extra skills in either spirit or spear bcoz otherwise somepeople can make themselves immune and they are anoying

since no enigma melee chars will get close so id go 4 max block yes

the combo of shield /belt/gloves depends on how ur resists are, really but I would probably go for trangs

for pvp mainly wizzy unless sum1 is being anoying and stacking resists in which case deaths web should help

id go for shako because the life is v nice for pvp the only thing that beats it are godly circlets but they are v rare :(

and personally I dont max lr so I can have a reasonable damage bs

although Ime far from an expert on pvp poisenmancers i just play mine pvm all the time

on europe ladder its looking lkike my poisenmancer is getting the following

deaths web 1/-49(this is on trade and will go 4 a good offer hehe) if that goes my wizzy(15res all//7%fhr jewel) will take its place
shako(poisn facet)
trangs head(poisen facet)
bramble(yet to make, collecting ist runes for it as we speak lol)
trangs belt
trangs gloves
maras
2xsoj
10xpb skillers
1x anni
9xlife sc

but this build is mainly pvm, although ime sure the guides can explain most of your question better than I can :) I hope you apreciate the input

Thanks for the input. I will try to make a better offer for that death web. Cause its a really nice weapon.

IMO an enigma is neccessary for a pvp venomancer, you have to get close and in pubby duels nowadays it's impossible to do without teleporting.

-res is the most important stat for a venomancer (as in theory it increases poison length as well as damage) so go for 3 piece trang if you wish to be able to bring most BOed barbs down to 1 in a single nova. However if you take this route you WILL need to sheal your trang sheild, as you'll find yourself in a horrible blocklock if you don't. Sheal will give you a 2 frame difference in blocking. If you use a homoncolus you do not need to sheal it.

Try to at least hit 48% fcr no matter what gear you choose (if you decide to use a nigma). IMO I say dump maras and use a fcr/+skill ammy instead. You do not need to max lower resist, maxing bone wall for the synergy for your armor will let you last a little while longer against 160/60 zons. Lower resistance has horribly diminishing effects, dump the rest of your points into it after maxing wall.

I went for a point into fire golem with my pvp venomancer, as the aura can take out the last point and it cannot be dodged/weapon blocked.

I personally looked at the helm for my source of resistances, as +skills are your least useful resource as a venomancer (useful still, just not as much as -resists, with +% psn dmg being second useful.) Either a 2 um COA (if you have the str for it after nigma) or a shealed or umed kiras would be best IMO. I know that shako/nec circ is a big thing to give up but because deaths web offers no resistance I found it worth it.

Okay, not having Enigma to teleport is only a minor setback. I am an expert with necromancers so I know what I'm talking about with this. Since you are using a dagger, DO NOT put anymore into strength than you need. Stick with the Trang-Oul gloves/shield/belt combo. DO put enough into dexterity to max your Block % (this is where the dagger comes in, a dagger's damage come from both strength and dexterity, and since in this case dexterity will give you more AR, DR, Block % and damage, it is much more valuable). If you feel like you want more dexterity than is enough to max your block, feel free do do so but put alot into vitality too. DO NOT put a single point into energy, you will have more than enough from equipment and so forth. Go with the Wiz, the 75 All Resists and the big mana bonuses are definitly worth it for a psn necro. A generally good idea here is to NOT get that close to your opponent until they're getting low on HP, so you can avoid a good amount of damage. Just Nova them, if there are dead creatures near where you are dueling, make them chase you to the dead creatures and then use PE on them. DO NOT max LR. DO max both Bone Spear and Bone Spirit if you can (If not, Spirit is your priority!). 1 Point into Lower Resist is enough, and if they're getting to close to you, use decrep on them, then run and use nova, while they are coming to you, Bone them. Spirit is better because since they are Decrepified they generally will not be able to outrun it. And just a suggestion to keep as a dagger on Weapon Switch, I suggest using either the Deathweb or a Blackbog's Sharp (the unique Cinquedeas). For Helm, stick with the Shako and Um. For armor, I suggest a Bramble (Ral Ohm Sur Eth) Archon Plate. I also reccomend Marrowwalk for boots, a SOJ and BK for rings and a Mara's for amulet. Once you start getting your final equipment (the uniques anyway), use the horadric cube and up them.
