PvP Orb Sorb build- please comment
Currently I have a GG blizz pvp sorc that pretty much 1 hits 95% of pvp players, but its getting that one hit that's sometimes trouble. I like the spam-ability of frozen orb but the damage is severely less than blizzard. One thing I really love though is the spam-ability of frozen orb. So I was thinking a 125 fcr orb sorc, but with orb it's the -cold that will do more good than +cold in my opinion as orb is not too great for damage.
Here is the set up I was thinking:
P Night Wings 5/5 faceted: +20% cold dmg, -5% cold
P Doom one handed wep: -60% cold
2-10 Ammy: +2 skill, 10% fcr
Um'ed Vipermagi: +1skil, 30% fcr, resists
Arach: +1 skill, 20% fcr
35 spirit: +2 skill, 35% fcr
x1 gg fcr ring: resists, life, 10% fcr
trangs: 20% fcr, cold resist
x1 soj: +1 skill
xx boots: w/e
So this works out to 125% fcr with a total of +11 skills from gear, +20% cold, -65% cold. Add 9 gcs, anni/torch and you have +24 skills total.
Now here's the cool parts: @ lvl 44 you do -235 cold damage. Add gear and you have -300 cold damage. @ lvl 44 frozen orb, max synergied + 20% nightwing you have 1035-1080 cold damage per shard. Someone with um'ed kiras, wizspike, 40 res anni/torch, +65 CoH, +50 other random resist points (from various items) + 30 from anyas will have 345 resists (this is the worst case super stacked scenario). -300 from you and -100 from hell, they're STILL at -45 resists. You will be averaging 1073/6 pvp = 179 damage per shard on stacked pvpers. If we assume 3-4 will hit then we're doing 536-714 damage per orb on stackers. With the avg pvper at 2k life, with tanks around 5k, we're going to kill stackers in 3-4 orbs and tank stackers in about 8 orbs. Not too too bad, especially with the spammability and massive range of frozen orb.
Normal pvpers will not be so lucky and it is actually pretty safe to assume you can get most people at -100 resists when you're doing -300 cold resists. This means double damage. We're now doing 2070-2160/6 = 345-360 damage per shard x 3-4 shards = 1059-1412 PER ORB. Holy balls that is sexy.
So what do you guys think. Sexy???
