PvP necro max block

I'm a PvP venomancer and I'm not going to have any summons. My character is level 85 and I was wondering if I should go max block. If I go max block how much dex is that? Thank you.

Depends on ur shield, so how bout tell us what u plan on using.

yes depends on shield, if you use homo, sanctuary, ss, then max block is neccessary but if you use FCR/FRW/Low block shields like darkforce/Spirit/boneflame, then vita might be a better idea.

Block for homo is like...180-200, not exactly sure, but around there

You mean...to be exact??

It depends on your gear...with +stats gears, torch/anni/gcs etc..., you pump dex until it says 75% when you point the mouse at the total defence on attribute screen...

Heres a formula for max block:
Total Blocking = [(Blocking * (Dexterity - 15)) / (Character Level * 2)]

Thank you for the feedback. Yes, I have homonculous and I maxed block. You've all been a real good help. Sorry I couldn't respond sooner. I did a test run and got slaughtered by ranged spell casters. Looks like I need to work on some resists. Did pretty well against a hammerdin though.

hehe seems me and you made venomancers at the same time gluttony. today was my second day dueling and man those sorcs are hard lol. trappers too :grin: resists are my problem also hehe

Lol, did you go the max block route? I am having pretty easy time with melee and hammerdins. But without max resists. Casters are a real pain.
