pvp iron golem?

I remember druids with some mean grizzlies that could stand at the edge of town pk most casters that step out of town. Could this be done with an iron golem summoned with a heavy damaging weapon, or would an iron golem die with 1 cast/1melee hit? (wasting said valuable high dmg weapon)

Basically, I'm really pissed that golems suck in 1.11 and i love them :(

I can say that IG can deals alot more damage then people give it credit for. The problem is to do really good damage, you have to make the golem out of something really good.
At high levels, the golem will get destroyed very fast.

The best IG oriented pvp thing IMO , is to make a Low level dueler (lld) Necro. Find the most powerful wep you feel you can comfortably make and then shop a tele charges staff usuable at level 24. Before you make the golem prebluff as much skills gear as you can. Borrow a bud's soj , get a battle command from a barb and look for a skill shrine before you make the ig.

I had a level 24 hc lld summon necro that used a eth bonehew which did it's listed damage of 200-900 damage + bonespear pvp while the opponent was amped. Needless to say with the merc, + a few skellies, pretty much anything I tele stacked on was a auto ko at level 40 or less.

Eth elite polearms
runewords like Obediance
Ik mauls
these are the types of things I'd look out for.

If your looking for a Townguarding pvp build, your best served by making a Summoner Druid. Head over the druid thread and read the Towndump build.

Thats deadly. I had a lld that was a pally with the rift or other rune word, the one that shoots high lvl forbs with maxed charge/convic. Was a killing machine.

Okay I guess I'm going to make a necro that uses amp, ce, and a golem tank for pvm.
curses 10 skills
bone armor + wall/prison 3 skills
1 teeth, 1 bonespear(prison pre req) and 1 Ce = 3 skills
1 iron golem, 1 blood golem, 1 fire golem, = 3 skills
20 golem mastery
20 iron golem
1 summon resist
= 59 skills
Then I can either decide to max skel warriors and mastery or the mages, prolly mages. Or could also just put 1 pt in all those and rely on + skills.
