PvP Fury WereWolf Druid v1.0 by SpearULater

PvP Fury WereWolf Druid v1.00a by SpearULater

Introduction

Hello, My name is SpearULater and I play on USEast under the account name of *SpearYouLater. I have been playing the diablo series since 1996. I decided to make this PvP WereWolf druid because i have seen a lot of druids out there dueling mostly as fireclaw werebear druids, and it looked like fun. So, one day as I was mfing, I found a 5 OS RuneMaster one day and a light bulb went off, what should i do with this beauty. And here's what I did. I hope you enjoy the guide and have fun dueling.

Part 1: Stat Points

Str: Enough for equip, but i suggest 185 (Enough to use Steelrend/Leviathan/Stormshield)
Dex: Enough to keep 75% Block with StormShield
Vit: Dump the rest here, You are already going to have a ton of life, why not more?
Energy: Pfft, Spit on it.

Part 2: Skills

Okay, for skills i did the following, and mapped out which lvls i was putting what in.

Max Werewolf
Max Oak Sage or Max HoW (Your choice really, Working on making another druid with HoW to see which is better)
Max Fury
Max Lycan

Note* If you are going with HoW, at lvl 6 put the point in Werewolf instead.
Note** That point remains in Oak, But after, you put the rest into HoW instead, so your build will finish off at lvl 79 instead of 78.

---------------

Now this build is for skill points is pretty much done at lvl 78. The only problem i'm having is trying to figure out where to the rest of the points. As most people using play chars until lvl 80-85, that leaves me 7 points to fiddle with. Suggestions here please.

HoW vs Oak

Personally, I take the 115% bonus life(More if you have +skills) over Dmg/AR. It's up to you, i've modified the guide so incase you want to go HoW instead, it's available to you.

Part 3: Equipment

Well, this build is based around a 5 OS Rune Master, so thats needed for sure at later lvls unless you can find a better weapon of course. Note I dont like using most of the new runewords. Not for the fact I cant seem to get my hands on one, but i think blizzard has made the game to similar b/c whats the point of giving other characters most useful spells Ie: BO/TELE.

Also, LL/ML do not work in duels now, which leaves some pretty nice items you can use.

Okay, now i got that off my chest, here's my item set up. I'll give you a set up of lvl 45 and lvl 80.

LVL 45

Weapon - HeadStriker Socketed with Shael
Shield - Gerke's Sanctuary
Helm - Jalal's Mane
Armor - Shaftstop
Boots - War Travs, and at lvl 47, use *Gore Riders.
Gloves - LavaGout or BloodFists
Belt - String of Ears
Ring#1 - **RavenFrost
Ring#2 - ***Angelic Ring
Ammy - ***Angelic Ammy

Note*I find that the bonus' from Gore Riders, are much nicer than the ones from War Travs for PVP.

Gore Riders
30% Faster Run/Walk
10% Chance Of Open Wounds
15% Chance Of Crushing Blow
15% Deadly Strike

Note** Cannot Be Frozen is a must, and having extra dex is always nice.

Note*** The bonus' include +AR/clvl, 75Life, 10 Dex

LVL 80

Weapon - 230+% RuneMaster - socketed with 5x Shael
Shield - StormShield - socketed with UM(if your resists are low) or Shael(If you want faster blocking)
Helm - Cerebus Bite - get one with +4 ShapeShifting and 90+%AR
Armor - Leviathan
Boots - Gore Riders or War Travs
Gloves - SteelRend
Belt - Verdungo's Hearty Cord
Ring#1 - Your Choice, Since RuneMaster comes with mod Cannot Be Frozen
Ring#2 - Angelic Ring
Ammy - Angelic Ammy

Thats my set up at lvl 80 is the one above, although I dont have Leviathan yet, I'm using an upgraded ShaftStop, which is good enough for now.

Keep in mind that there's a 50% DR max in Duels, With the lvl 80 equip you have a possible 75% DR. The Stormshield is a must, and so is Leviathan. The Reason I took Verdungos is it has 10% FHR and an awesome 30-40+ VIT.

Total Benefits @ LvL 80 w/ Skills

265%LIFE at lvl 20 Oak/WereWolf/Lycan
4 FPS Attack with 5x Shael Rune Master + EDIT I was told you couldnt hit 4 fps with Rune Master. Maybe put an ED/IAS jewel in your armor/helm would help you reach this.
75% DR
60-120%AR + Angelic Ring/Ammy AR Bonus + 335% AR from Max Werewolf + 183% AR from Max Fury
Cannot Be Frozen
443%ED from Max Fury

Charms

Here's what i suggest getting to put in your inventory for added bonus' in order of most importance.

5% FHR sc w/ Other Bonus'
3% Faster R/W sc w/ Other Bonus' for catching those people trying to flee.
20 life sc
maxdmg/ar/life sc

Part 4: Dueling Techniques

Vs Barbs

Now, most barbs use WW, so basically stand in a spot, let him WW through you, and use Fury as he is slowly moving through you. After he's done his WW, he'll fall to the ground in a powered mess.
Some barbs, like trying to go Toe to Toe with a melee Druid. If he is more than 5-10 LVLs ahead of you, you'll most likely have a tough time hitting him. But, with all that AR you should have no problem.

Vs Asns

They could be problems, but shouldnt be too much of one, unless you are going against a trapsin. These assassins have plagued me for months. Try getting as much Lightning Absorb as possible. They might say "OH it's *** that you have lightning absorb you noob", but whose the one running around in there traps for hours on end, and doing 10k lightning dmg. I always like to keep a Lightsabre, Tgods belt, and 1 wisp protector around for these bitches. If you can run faster than her, you should have no problem beating her.

Vs Pallys

No different than a barb. If it's a FoH pally, get your lit gear on, if it's a melee, and he is using BotD Berzerker Axe, you might as well bend over for him, and take it like a man. If it's a hammerdin (Why do people think hammerdins are such good duelers), teach him the meaning of being for breakfast. The only time i've ever had a problem with one of these is when they have Enigma and just tele/spam/tele/spam/ect.

Vs Zons

A bowazon you should have a lot of Faster R/W sc's, and chase her down. If it's a Javazon, put on everything but the lightsabre and try to take her down.

Vs Sorcs

Meh, cheap, boring, waste of time. All they do is tele orb, tele fireball, tele ts, tele blizz. No point of wasting your time. Most of them have over 110% FCR, and good luck catching them in Tele.

Vs Necros

Mostly Bone Necros in duels. Prison/Bone Spirit just rapes you. I'd suggest allying with one so you dont have to come to the conclusion of defeat. I'm not going to say nerf the necro, cuz whats the point *Flame*Flame*Flame*. Blizzard made the game, and they wanted it that way i guess.

Vs Druids

You'll either end up fighting a FireBear, a Rabies Wolf, or a Enigma Wind Druid. Max your Resists and you should have a problem with any of these. -% Poison Duration items are really nice to equip vs the Rabies.
