pvp fire trapper

I have never made an assasin before but now I want to start a pvp fire trapasin and would apreciate some help. This is what I had thought up as for skill points.

Trap skills:
20 fire blast
20 wake of Fire
20 Wake of inferno
1 shock web
1 charged bolt sentery
1 lighting sentery
20 death sentery

Shadow disciplines:
1 claw mastery
1 psychic hammer
1 bust of speed
1 weapon block
1 clock of shadows
1 fade
1 mind blast
1 shadow warrior

Equiptment

helm: shako
ammy: magic + 3 to traps ammy
armor: nats ( bp nigma if i can get my hands on it)
weapon: dual bartucs
weapon switch: dual fire lizards
belt: t-gods
gloves: magefists
rings: 2xsoj
boots:gore riders

Any sugestions or comments about how I should socket my equiptment or change it for the better would be helpful.

Thanks in advance. :D

I have a fire trapper kicker hybrid that I really enjoy playing.

I noticed that you are using gore riders and dual bartucs. If you can get upp'ed gores you might just want to try the hybrid route.

I saw that you had 20 in death sentry, but the title said PvP. I would spend those points elsewhere regardless of whether or not you go hybrid. If you get an enigma and are using dual claws, some points in fade will help your resists and give you some damage reduction.

As for skills, basically just max fireblast, WoF and WoI
You will probably want to get a few points in weapon block, fade, and shadow master/warrior
And a point in burst of speed helps too.

And perhaps most importantly! You will want to have a high lvl mindblast (20+ with skill bonuses) so that you can keep people stunned and in your trap field.

IIRC there was a 1.10 fire trapper guide at one point. Might wanna do a search.

If you are on West NL and you want to see one in action I would be happy to show you. They are a blast. good luck to you!!

It look like your not planning to block, which isn't a bad thing against other casters and such, but against melee characters your gonna find yourself with alot of problems.

If you do intended to go with dual Bartucs, I suggest you put some points into "weapon block(WB) " since your only going to be using ~80 skill points, use whats left over on WB.

Thank you for the advise. I dont know if i can get upped gores that easy beacue im not on ladder( I play US east) so would a kicker hybrid work with non upped gores and what other skills should I put into for kick skills?

How should i socket my bartucs, shako and nats armor?

If i dont use dual bartucs what sheild should i use?

If you can't get upped gores or shadow dancers then I would suggest collecting some white myrmedon greaves and imbuing them with Charsi.

If going Dual Bartucs you get some great hit recovery, good skills, and a large boost to kick ar and damage (from str, dex, and +skills)
If your going to use fade (a good idea since you don't have a shield with physical damage reduction this route) then I think you still need a bit of IAS to hit the last kick breakpoint. So I would socket them with shaels, or ias jewels with second mods.

IF your using a shield, go for stormshield. The fast blocking, ICTB, PDR and resists are just awesome.

As for nats armor you could socket it with some jewels to make up for missing resists, IAS, or perhaps a shael for some FHR.

I would just make sure that you hit the last kick breakpoint and have > 86% FHR.

Good luck to you
