Hello!

I am back with some questions for my PvP FC Bear :smiley:.
Now I've come to think of something with the jewelery. Standard setup is: Angelics one ring+raven. My question is: When dueling sorcs, will I meet high defence? Will I need the AR from the angelics, or could I change to Metalgrid (got one with high AR bouns and high res<- getting [email protected]) and a dwarf/2nd raven/wisp ring? By doing this I would lose the angelics but still get +4xx AR from metalgrid, a lot of res all from the metalgrid, and 15%-20% absorb, you change ring depending on what element you are meeting. I am realy noob at PvP but I just came to think of this, and please, help me.

EDIT: Whole setup is: 5/5 faceted Jalals, 110IAS/102AR PB, PDiad Stormshield, crafted blood belt/dungos, aldurs boots, Bloodfists. What armour? Enigma? I am also a bit itnerrested in those Jewels plate of whale, I will probably not afford a pft life 4 sox armour. How low is it ok to go? 4 sox a mus? could it be 3sox 90+life? help me out.

What's your AR without Angelics? Around 8k should be enough, I don't think you will ever meet sorc with more than 4k def.

With Metalgrid it's well above 10000 and I only have three skillers atm. So I guess I will be fine then. cool.

so how abot the armour? Can you make a jewels plate of whale with facets in one with only three sockets, or will the dmg gain be to small?

i always use enigma + raven + mara's + usually firedwarf/wisp or what ever to get a little absorb (if thats allowed) or more res.

if you dont have a mara's a metalgrid will work in the mean time.

no caster is going to have high defense (except for a hammerdin) so you wont need alot of ar. also most will die with 1-2 hits, that is if you can catch them hence needing enigma for its massive frw.

unless you have a bunch of frw charms to compensate a jewelers is best suited for melee duels. if you take some time you can shop for one easily, but its not worth socketing unless you get one with 4 sockets and 90+ life.

Yea, def r/w is a must if you wanna stand a chance against just about any sorc. I've had success using a 6 soc shael'd war scythe for range, but I still prefer sword/shield for the res(Res on sword and on shield)

Ok, thx a lot for those answers, but let me make a follow up question about that faceted life armour. I have scored a 4 sox/98life full plate mail at Larzuk. :afro: Now I'm thinking about those facets to put in it. Does it have to be 5/5 facets? when should it be used? Noted that it is not against casters due to lack of enigmas FR/W, any other times? When is this superior to Duress?

5/5 is obviously better than 5/4, 4/5 etc. if you cant get perfect ones use what ever you can get.
you can always hel it when you get your hands on 4 perfect ones.

i pretty much use my jewelers all the time in melee duels, unless i really need/want the extra fhr against a certain opponent.

for me its against smiters. i always use full angelics + trangs belt and need the extra fhr i lose from the belt/gloves.

So full Angelics: 2 rings + amu, Trang Belt instead of belt with fhr. But where do we lose the gloves? and is it duress and or stone you change to?

sometimes i use a crafted blood glove instead of bloodfist ;p i never use stone.

You can also try 6x Shael'ed socketed Scythe or Giant Thresher, i think they both have the same speed, not so sure, but I heard its pretty good for the big range whenever you need it.
