PvP Cold Zealot, Burr thats cold.

PvP Cold Zealot, Burr thats cold.

Hello,

Since the pvp venger isn't viable in pvp, i was thinkin about holyfreeze..

i made a pvp orb sorc and its totally crazy with damage.

Hmm... So i was thinking of holyfreeze zealot...

20 Holyfreeze
20 Resist Cold
20 Zeal
20 Holyshield
rest into blessed aim......

not sure if this is viable but you could use a Nightwings with facet.
SS with ed/ias
Eth Zod Nords.
Angelics for ar.

any ideas?

frost zealot is usually used for PvM, as high CB helps an ungodly ammount (played on friends, was quite fun). well for armor would you go 20-5 ormus or jewlers xxx of life with 4xfacet?. CBF is also helpful, so you maybe need to get that in somewhere. since zeal will be the source of physical dmg, maybe some DS could help.

i truly wish a different zealot build could work other than fanatic, however, fanatic zealots high defense, ar, and usually silly exile ammounts to a huge advantage.

edit: fixed couple things, added ds part.

A Doom War Spike might be superior to an Eth Nord's in terms of damage, although I believe that you picked the Nord's for it's attack rating bonus as opposed to its damage output. The biggest problem for this build will be the same thing we ran into for the convicted avenger, which is lack of AR. I think a fanatic avenger might be able to fight in PvP, but without that AR boost, I just don't know. The same goes for the frost zealot. On the plus side, you opponent will probably be attacking far slower than you, which might give you an advantage.

For frost zealot, you must have your natural holyfreeze as your main aura. If you don't care about rules, then beast caddy or war spike is the best weapon. Otherwise, priest phase blade of quickness with 2 sockets or 6-socket phase blade with shaels/5-5cold jewels is the best weapon to reach fastest zeal speed without fanaticism. This build will have trouble with raven frost users even when you are dealing 7000+ minimum cold damage.

Edit: Can you still craft 3socket weapons with chipped gems? If so, 3-socket priest or marshal phase blade of quickness can work well with this build.

Meh... I think if a pvp tesladin is half viable, then a pvp frost zealot should be like 3/4 viable. The fun thing is you are non-bm slowing your opponent. The only thing about doing that is have you noticed that when one zealot puts on holy freeze, so does the other? You might want to take that into consideration... The cool thing is you will have a stronger holy freeze, and a build thats made for it.

Slowing is annoying but it can be countered if your opponent just switches in some ias gear / faster weapon. They won't be suffering as much of a damage drop compared to the damage of a frost zealot. Raven frost is also a HUGE pain because so many zealots use them. But saying all that, try it, I thought that Nexus had one up before but I'm not sure whether or not that was pure (aka not fana/doom or frost/beast)
