PvP Bone Necro Question

    PvP Bone Necro Question

    Hey guys!

    I got a question here. I decided to make a pvp bone necro and I am following soulless childs guide. Ill go over what I have got so far:

    Lvl 80:
    Base Stats:
    50 STR, 50 DEX, 70 ENG, rest into VIT (over 300 I think)

    Skills:
    One point into all curses except attract and confuse.
    One into clay golem, one golem mastery, one summon resists.
    20 teeth
    20 Spear
    20 Spirit
    20 B. Wall
    1 CE
    1 Bone Armor
    ZERO into B. Prison

    note: I am using the marrow walks bug for now.

    Gear:
    Shako
    Homonculus (p. diamon)
    Enigma Breast Plate
    HOTO
    Trangs Gloves
    Arachnids Belt
    Marrowalks
    Ravens Frost
    Dwarf Star
    Maras Ammy (25%)
    Anni Charm

    This set up gets me 80% fast cast (to hit the 75% break), 75 resist all, and absorb in 2 elements.

    My question is thus:

    Where should I place my skill points from here on out? Should I beef up a Golem? Should I beef up bone armor (its already pretty strong with synergies)? Should I work on a psn skill?

    What do you guys generally do?

    And also, any changes to the gear? I really cant see anything except maybe the Dwarf Star ring...but I dont have a SOJ and I already have max resists. Dwarf gives life and absorb, so I chose it.

    nice post btw. well put. it's been a while since i read that guide, since i don't pvp much. but wouldn't max block be good? i mean, homo has a good block rate as it is...

    Well, thats the first desicion I make with all my duelers, block or vita.

    In 1.09 the choice was almost always block. But in 1.10 since the most dominant duelers are now caster, I chose to go with a vita necro. That, and the fact that I have a huge bone armor to absorb some of the physical dmg as well. I was actually surprised though with my blocking. Because of all my +dex from gear and anni charms, I actually have just under a 45% chance to block...not great, but not bad for only 50 points dex investment and over 1100 life.

    1100 life seems awefully low. maybe it's just me.

    maybe cta on switch?

    Sad is the day when 1100 life seems low.

    *shakes head in shame for the day has come*

    In 1.09 1100 life on a necro would be thru the damn roof, lol.

    If I can manuever some more trading, it is my wish to one day put a CTA on the necro, but as of now I dont have one.

    i'm with ya, that's why i don't duel in 1.10

    teleporting / slow missle using 'dins? uber melee char's still getting rapedd by casters.

    teleporting / ww 'sins? viable elemental druids?

    wtf has this world come to?

    I actually like some of the cool variants that are good now. WW sins are fun, elemental druids are fun also.

    Id like to see it more balanced between caster and melee a little. But its not that a melee player cant be as good as a caster, its that it costs more.

    I thought I would dominate melee until I came across my first teleporting WW BOTD barb....eek, those guys are strong.

    My lvl 89 Necro uh has:

    1416 life *note* I have no gcs with life just 1 17 life and a 1/19/17/7 stat anni

    He is uh like 1078 or ** nk no charms or gear.

    I would say rest of points into Prison cuz I hate the marrowwalks bug (thats me tho)

    o_o I voted for Be a Man and put points into prison o_o

    my pvp necro had 1400life vs phy and almost 1600 vs casters in .09 maybe i was doing something else from every one :scratch:

    what about curses

    what about curses...any worth putting 1 pt into? amp, decrepify? for baaling and such?

    im a dr/block necro, with 1.7k life

    if your using the marrowwalk bug i suggest getting golem, then curses for team duels, amp, LR, decrep, life tap

    i chose OTHER

    i put my spare points into summon mast/skellies with 1 to
    revives (and their prereqs). makes pvm alot easier and safer

    however this was only the "test" build that i made on open
    no way i can afford the items on uswest hcl which is where
    i play

    i think i had about lvl 13 base mastery and 14 base skellies
    or something cant remember

    and 1.1k life is low for a vit nec cos mine was max block and
    had just under 1.4k life (like 1386 or something) and close
    to 3k life with cta on switch

    bone armour which seems to be one of the top choices is already
    quite strong imo and is easily recastable so why waste
    precious skill pts?

    screw being a man if u duel in pubs u will need to take advantage
    of the bug. other necs will be using it and ppl play dirty all the
    time.

    and golems is just stupid with so many +skill points they will
    have quite high life my lvl 1 base golem mast and iron golem
    has rarely ever died it only does because i let it

    same with curses with so many +to all skills ur curses will
    already be quite high (i had around +16 all skills)

    i also found that getting 125 cast was much better even
    against melee classes. just avoid getting hit and they go down
    quite easily. i tried 75 cast and dr and took longer to kill them

    AND i did not use the tele on my enigma AT ALL


    looks like im the only one who opted for the "other" option

    What's up guy?

    I found my self in the same situation. Maxed same skills as you and utilzed the bug. I decided to pump my Summoning tree with what skills i had left.
    1 point clay golem
    1 point golem mastery
    1 point summon resist
    0 in mastery (thnx marrows)
    1 point skeleton
    1 point mage
    1 point revive

    Granted with +skills gear and CTA i can get 6 skellies, 6 mages, and 6 revives.
    b/c when i tele monsters stack and block for me while inflicting alot of dmg with amplify damage.

    So basically I went with a Bonemancer primarily, then he became a SummBoner? :scratch: he is very fun to play, and very hard to kill in duels.

    1 pt clay golem's good. Don't know if you should place into golem mastery & summon resist though. The rest can go into decrepify or something for increased duration.

    one thing that one can do is, use the bug and save the points till the bug has been patched, then u will have the points for prison and wouldnt have to remake a necro

    "this is only if blizz will fx it sometime in this lifetime" :scared:

    so sopregrente or w/e your name is.... you say no points in summon resist/golem mastery....well if you plan on actually having your golem tank 3-4 hits especially clay golem, since his since Multiplies ALOT every point you put into it. And when dueling sorcs or any elemental character the +resists on your minions helps out a bit.

    to patch it that of course means...another patch and blizz already stated that it will be sometime before that happens...cuz theyll try and find other bugs and fix them too. they wont waste the man power and money on a little bug.

    Your golem is a shield to take one hit. If a barbarian kills it he gets slowed. If he can whirl through it several times he can actually leech some life back. You don't want that.
