pvp blizz sorc

made a blizz sorc recently, and was dissapointed in her performance in pvm. about to delete her when i tried her out in a pvp game and it was first set of straight victories
what i want to know is, now that i've switched to pvp, are there any gear switches i should make and any other stuff i should know/use?
Nightwings (18%//-5%)
Chains of Honour AP
Arach
Df (not socketed yet, need to get a good facet)
spirit 35%
10%fcr ring
Stone of Jordan
+3 cold skills, 94 life amulet
sandstorm treks 15/15/64
cta/spirit on switch

torch//anni and 9 cold skillers.

am i better off filling the sc spaces with life charms or res charms (cant afford dual modded ones)
so far i have maxed all blizz synergies, and am pumping cold mastery, so are there any other skills i need to egt? or should i use snowclash for my cold armour buff, etc...
stats are pure vita axcept enough strength for spirit
my life is only 1.8k with bo, is this enough?
all sugegstions needed

I suggest you try to get max block with ss if it's still an option.

it's not :smiley: and why? melee chars aren't causing me any problems except de-synching hammers...i also lose 35%fcr and hence the necessary (IMO) breakpoint of 105%fcr... (i have exactly 105% on my gear)

A decent bvc or wwsin should be able to take you out in a few seconds with you having no block and only 8 dr. What realm are you on?

nope, but i play incredibly defensively using my higher fcr to tele, and plant blizzes and afew ice blasts.
could be interesting, but i'm not sayin i'm very good, i'm just saying in the average pub, i don't get hit by them (plus i can't be bothered remaking her lol)

You might be actually considering a block version once you meet competent melee chars :wink:

I just cannot see non-es, non-block sorc cut it in pvp.

I have a max block (whistans) Es blizzer. She eats up smiters who try and charge lock me. I can tank barbs who are not careful just by blizzing myself. Max block and es make it a good match, rather than you dying in one hit from no block-no def with his open wounds and poison. Leap is good for a good reason...

I dont think stormshield is worth it on ES users. Too much str and more dex than vs whistans (67 vs 87) and the dr does not help that much.

Non-es it might be an option. Eld it and you're in business. You can keep a spirit in the stash for vs casters.

105 cast on a blizzer is not essential, IMHO. Mine has been getting by with 63 just fine. Allows me to wear frosties and double soj and use whistans for max block.

105 on a fireball sorc is kinda essential, on the other hand...

EDIT: I've recently come to think that a gg circlet is better than nightwings...but I'm yet to test it head to head.

i got my *** handed to me on a plate by Rabbitz, so i think i may re-consider making her again :smiley: she does well in pubs though, and that's the only place she's gunna go, so i think i'll leave her lol

What was he using? A defensive lit trapper is tough.

Fast cast lit sorc w tstorm is nearly impossible too.

First of all, i usualy make all my sorceress with es and max TK.
But recently i made a pure vita blizzard sorceress just for fun as i were borred. I have to say that she did much better in pvp than i expected her to do. 14K blizzard and 7k ice blast really kills most chars in 1 hit.

Im not saying that she does better tham my pimped out lvl 96 light sorc with es but she did waaaay better than i expected.
