PvM Zmiter to do Uber, but what merc?
Ok folks, after reading the 1pt smiter guide I had to make one. ...and seeing D3 just made me want to play D2 again so here we go.
I just finished normal and will shortly be able to get a NM merc. I'm trying to figure out what the best merc will be for a Zeal Pally with the 1pt in Smite to eventually be able to run Ubers. For now (and however long it takes) I'll be playing standard PvM D2. I am not someone with much of any Uber Gear, so I'm trying to limp along, heck the best piece of gear I own is a self-made Delirium that I finally got with my AD/CE necro that beat Hell a week or so back.
So with that being said, I'm trying to see what the best merc will be for normal gameplay, I will TRY to work to getting a Doom setup but let's pretend that won't EVER happen (I'm one Um rune from CMoon but it just won't drop) so I can't bank on getting these high lvl rune words for all the additional auras.
So what's out there: Might, Defiance, Holy Freeze... ?
Also, Act 1? Completely Useless? I have about 4 good bows (higest Kuko) and I have the runes to make an Edge bow.
Currently I grabbed a Blessed Aim merc to help until I got 30/Fanat and he is wearing: Eth Vemon Ward - Hwanin's Justice - and some lame helm with frost nova. (told you my gear sucks!!)
Thoughts? Suggestions?
