PvM: SS or Spirit?

I'm having trouble deciding what to go for my HC Ladder Druid. Mainly, I'll be PvM, but maybe some PvP.

With SS, I'd have:
level 46 Nado (6300 damage)
99% FCR BP
63% FHR BP
75% Block
35% Damage Reduction
Less Life

With Spirit, I'd have:
level 49 Nado (6750 damage)
99 FCR BP
99 FHR BP
No Block
No DR
More Life

I'm not sure which to do. I may be short on resists if I go SS and have to socket with UM. Not sure which is best. From what I understand, Druid PvM is basically teleport on enemy, Nado; it'd seem like max block + DR would be best at the cost of about 500 damage. Although, hit recovery would be a frame slower at the cost of that 35% DR, 75% Block.

i always use spirit for pvm, ss for pvp.

hardcore is a different question though. you may be more inclined to use ss and get max block & max dr. dont quote me on that though caues im not experienced with hc.

Even though I have little to no experience with windies, I'd definitely say SS for HC. 450 damage isn't much, you can probably gain the lost FHR from charms, and the life gained is only 44. And look what stormshield gives you, decent block and DR

SS if Nigma, Spirit if not.

If u dont tele into groups its no problem to use Spirit, if u do u want to have damred and block:)

Fhr is not the Problem with 3-5klife.

SS

You WILL have to get close to monsters to attack, and in HC you will very much like that block and DR%. Like you mentioned, there is stuff like Dolls that may pop on you, and blocking that could help alot. Even if you don't block it, that 35% DR cuts it down alot.

Damage is not king in HC like SC, and i'd take block, and DR% over that 500 more damage anyday. That 44 Life from Spirit, even with Oak and BO, is not as valuable as taking less hits, or less damaging hits.

FHR and Life can also be made up with charms. Block and DR can't.

I've found the low blocking speed a hinderance rather then help in the past. Why sit there and block when you could be running away?
