Check the guides that are stickied at the top of this forum.

Essentially, there are three basic ("normal" :)) necromancer builds: Skelemancer aka Summoner, using Skeletons, Bonemancer using bonespear/spirit, and Poisonmancer using ... poison nova, I suppose. I'm not sure whether a necro using poison dagger is considered a standard build.

Personally, I think the poison builds are the least viable (and the most expensive ones) due to immunity issues, but someone actually playing one of these probably knows better how many poison immune monsters remain immune after lower resist :)

You should have corrected the thread title after fixing your keyboard... the case is totally messed up there. The post itself is fine, though, so apparently you fixed the problem.

Welcome Newcomer to The Darkness. Grab a brew :drink: and feel free to raise some corpses.

A Skelliemancer is great for refreshing your Necromantic skills. You can go hybrid and find out a bit more about Necro’s in the 1.10 patch. Check the [ Essential Necromancer Information ] thread for the guides.

As Myrakh-2 said, you can run into problems with an untwinked Poisonmancer. You still run into quite a few Poison Immunes after LR. Hybrids do not suffer from the same problem.

I think that a Bone/Summoner or Poison/Summoner would probably do best for you. The minions will help keep everything off of you enough to get used to either Bone or Poison and see which you like better. If you find one that you like in particular (and don't want the minions anymore) you can always make another pure build.

I'm running a pure summoner right now (currently level 76 or so I think) and I might go back with a Bone/summoner so I have a little more direct damage in addition to my zoo.

Hehe... I knew there were a couple of reasons why I like my TO setup :) Firewalls are one of them... 1100 firedamage/s (I have an anni) for 3.6 seconds isn't too shabby for a skill that I didn't spend a single skillpoint in :) Especially when I decide to LR the monster(s) in question...

Yes I know, bonespears are magic, and probably do more damage. But I just had to make another stupid comment. And besides, bonespears don't work well on a TO user...

PVM ( player vs monster necromancer) single player

These necro Builds are most used for singel player and most efectief( i think)

The summon tree
------------------------------
Max: skeletons, skeleton mastery spent 1 point in blood golem 1 point iron golem 1 point revive

Your second focus on a skill tree for backup depends on your taste in battle if go for Poison en bone tree you can choose between the most used skills and the skills are:

Curse Tree
--------------------------------
Leave the lower resist because you wil use amplify damage most of time for your amry to do double damage on your enymies only point 1 point is needed in the curse tree en that wil be the amplify curse whit this methode you can have an extra 6 skill point left  to boost this is wel spend in the poison nova synergie and lower resist does not work with bone spirit or spear and afcourse if you use the bone spirit/speer as backup you also can spend the 6 point there for extra damage in synergie of those skills.

Poison Bone Tree ( choose)
-------------------------------------

This is where you choose your main backup skill for direct damage

The poison nova route or the Bone spirit/spear route choose 1 and spend the rest of points in there synergie.

If you dont like these both skills you can max corpse explosion for a wide radius of corpse splash damage also good but downside is you wil not have a direct damage spel listened above you can have another spel for direct damage but it wil be less powerfull because you spended points in corpse explosion.

I have the poison nova maxed as secondair atack :uhhuh:

if u have no gear and ur untwinked
i actually think some kind of skelemancer hybrid will do the best for u
poison or bone builds are very item dependant especially in hell
in my opinion there are alot of skelemancer builds that can be decent in hell without having the need of alot of good/uber items
