I hope they change the curved top design on the PS3, if that is the model they'll be sticking with. I like stacking games n stuff on top of mine :)

It looks good with the rounded top. Plus if you stack stuff on top of them don't they overheat?

And does Wi-Fi (PSP) mean that you can link-up the PSP and the PS3? That would be wicked with bluetooth controllers too. :)

    Cant wait...

I heard XboX got some license to be able to play Sony games......that would make the XboX alot more worthwhile to buy....

I'm not sure, I just heard from a friend that Xbox managed to buy the license to create a software program which could read Sony games as long as the program was different to the Sony PS program.

I dunno, I think I might go research this now..

first of all I'm a big playstation fan but the unveiling of the ps3 has me somewhat dissappointed. First of all, the controllers look really bad. I mean who came up with that design? And, why does it only support 7 wireless controllers? Why not 8 to make it even?

    Worst... Controllers.... Ever.

Apart from that looks pretty good as long as the games pick up and dont just become just "movie" like where you press a button and the other 4 hours is just graphics then you press another button... etc...

Although I do like the Xbox's look better.

I dont care how they look.if they are sturdy, responsive & comfortable, buttons within reach,I couldnt ask for more. One wont be able to tell untill they get to try them out themselves.

Just what I was going to say, Rik. As long as the controller's comfortable and responsive I'll be happy.

I agree that the actual console is more important than the looks, that includes people bashing the Xbox due to its size. Just lets hope that the games improve on some of the other GFX [Insert term that starts with W and rhymes with Four] based games released all to recenty.

Bluetooth (the wireless standard used for the paddles) only supports 8 nodes. One being the ps3 itself, that leaves 7 spaces for paddles.

I agree on the looking like crap aspect though... if there's no port for older controllers, they better make a bluetooth-enabled hub you can plug them into. Considering that the DS2 was the most perfect paddle ever designed, they damn well better let me use it still :p

Actually Square is going to Xbox, just for FFXI at the moment, but who knows what they'll do in the future.

The good thing about the PS3 controller is if you get mad and throw it, its boomerang-like shape will bring it right back.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised however if there was some 3rd party hardware maker that would make a PS3 controller that looked like a PS/PS2 controller.

EDIT: I didnt' notice a wire on that controller. Is it just for display are they going to be wireless? That would be nice.

Yeah. They make PS2 controllers for XBox and vice versa, so I wouldn't be surprised to see old-school designs made. There's even a chance Sony will make them. Regardless, for every system since Nintendo, I can remember being able to buy an alternate controller.
