Proper leveling

Idk if it is just me, but I just came to Diablo 2 to find the brand new patch and leveling seems to be somewhat hard. I am 24 and I am grinding these levels real ****ing slow.

Can somebody throw me a bone on where to properly level? I know I need to be 40 to do ancients in NM and 60 in Hell. Any advice?

wow, must have been some time since you last played

you should do act3 travs council till 25 then you can lvl, well leach in diablo runs till your ready to do baal runs an move on to nm.

If you are on realms then: you can do ancients to hit 25, then you can baal run until 45ish.

If Single Player then just bump the player setting to /P8, if you do a full run through of A1 and A2 you will hit 30 in the act 3 jungle. The experience is also much better in act 5, so if you are up to A5 then try to stay doing shenk, pindle, baal, etc... the pits levels in the act 5 plains and plateau are also good, as they are level 40 areas.

I am on US East and yes it has been a while since I have played. Around three years, maybe? I made a few friends and they rushed me to NM and now I need to get to 40 in order to do NM Baal runs.

I have been getting into NM chaos/diablo runs and leeching EXP. It is not slow, but it seems A LOT slower than back in the day. I am just trying to figure out the fastest way I can level up my Sorc so I can start MFing Pindle/Mephisto, because from what I understand a Blizz sorc is the best MFing character if you are just starting out.

Right now I am level 24 going onto level 25. I have been getting into NM Chaos runs and leeching experience there, but I am not sure if that is the best place, so I came here to ask.

So in my current situation where is the best place I can go level in order to hit 40, so that I maybe be able to do Baal runs? All help is welcomed

Do norm baal runs, if you are level 25 you should get at least a full level per run in a full game. You may not get as much if you aren't 25 yet, but you should get some still. If it's not enough a cow or tomb run will get you there.

Here is the progression:

5-15 Trist runs
15-21 tombs
21-24 cows
24-25 ancients
25-40+ baal runs

It's been a while since I played realms, but that should be correct.

I run the same pattern as kestegs. It goes very fast. usually switch to NM at about 42-45 depending on how bored I get of Baal runs.

Here is the progression:

5-15 Trist runs
15-21 tombs
21-24 cows
24-25 ancients
25-40+ baal runs

this is what i do too, though instead of tombs i clear the canyon of the magi in full baal games. tombs suck imo because too many of the monsters arent leech-able, there are too many revivers, and doorways are places of death. i can usually do a full canyon clear in the time it takes the baal runners to get done, i then follow them to the next game.

My personal Level plan:

1-5 : Blood moor -> Dark wood
5-12: Tristram run
12-18: Tombs run ACT 2
18-24: Trav (council) runs ACT 3
(If you are in LOD then you will do baal runs from here to 99)

24-30: Normal Cows
30-45: Nightmare Act 2 anywhere with lots of monsters
45-60: Nightmare Chaos Sanctuary
60-70: Hell Act 2
70-99: Hell Chaos Sanctuary
