Problems with the Internet/Forums!!
Ok, I've installed a new copy of Windows XP Pro (not exactly legally obtained) in around January in this year. On some websites, particularly ones that take a long time to load, I kept on getting this error message:
I've tried a wide variety of things. I updated my current version of Windows, with just about everything there was available on the Microsoft website. This never happened before, in previous installations of Windows.
So until recently, this has happened once in a while, on certain websites. But for the past day or two, and still continuing now, it's gotten much worse. Almost all the time I get on the Forums, I either get the usual database down error, or this ActiveX error message, the ActiveX message more than the other one.
Also, the forums have been loading very slowly for me recently, showing about half the page and taking 2-5 minutes to load the page, piece by piece (I have broadband). It would even say 'Done.' on the Status Bar, while it's still loading. Sometimes, the full page may not load at all (I've waited 10 minutes at one time). And most of the time, some pictures would not load. Pictures including the user avatars and the buttons, such as 'Post Reply'.
So... does anyone have any advice for me? Maybe someone has encountered this before? I really don't want to have to download and install a different version of Windows, although I do have other problems with this installation.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: The forums are so ****ed up right now for me, that I can't subscribe to this thread. When I click on the 'Thread Tools', it does nothing at all. Doesn't open up a pop-up menu or anything. Also, the users that are viewing this thread section is just not there, as well as my 'tar and most buttons.

You current settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page. As a result, the page may not display correctly.
