if you dont drink, how do you know how it is, to dump the gal you're in love with, for a gal you realy like....then (dsjkvae(?)) that all is say she dont wanna go out....and the booze makes it better for me tonight(?),....
so i object to you saying i have a bad habit, inferring an addiciton, when it clearly aint.
anyway g'nite :azn:
I know what it's like to have someone you really like not want to go out, or do anything with you. Drinking like this is only a temporary fix, Andy. The problem will still be there when you get up in the morning, don't you realize that? I'm not saying you are addicted/alcoholic, I'm saying that the reason you are doing it is not the right one, and the most common that causes the 'addiction.' The feeling that you can drink your problems away is where it starts... You can drink as much as you want but it wont change the thing that is making you do what you are doing, even if it makes you feel better for a short time.

Don't listen to him Andy, drinking is the solution to all your problems. Well that might not be true but it certanly is fun. God you can't type when your drunk. Look at me completly smashed and as far as I am aware am typing perfectly (although its hard to tell when you can't really focus on things).

Anyway goodnight, and on a side note, suprisingly enough I'm diffently up for a lottery every week, come on lucky number six.

Drunkposting is sort of a tradition in this thread since at least a year or two back so there's no reason to stop doing that.
However, it used to be just 1 or at most 2 posts after coming home from the bar which most people found funny, and the poster himself(yes, mostly guys except that one time by Xora) had something to laugh at or be embarrassed about the next day.
Not a full (drunken)discussion like it for some reason seems to be nowadays..

Danish youngsters drink earlier and heavier than anywhere else in the world. The taxes on liqouer are tremendously high here and you must be 18 to buy it in the stores. Yet they seem to have no problems acquiring loads of it (we didn't either way back when as I recall).
Surprisingly it causes very few addictions and problems - exept for the odd late night fight outside a disco and maybe an unwanted teenage pregnancy. Very early on they know their own limits on how much they can drink, when and which types of alcohol. They don't drink sensibly, but they don't drink until they pass out either - and if it's a choice between alcohol and drugs, I'm in favor of the alcohol.
I don't think drinking heavily in your teens is a good idea - by no means. But I'm not too worried - they are not dumb.
And us trying too hard to stop them (as parents or teachers) will only make drinking more interesting IMO.
A much more significant problem is smoking, which is becoming trendy among teenagers here once again (seems to bounce back evey 10 years).

I thought Denmark had cheaper alcohol than Sweden?
Perhaps ours is very expensive then, we have something like 40% tax on alcohol if they didn't change that yet, pretty much just to prevent people from drinking too much.

We do have cheaper alcohol than Sweden and easier access to it - you don't have to go into Systembolaget to buy it. The easier access is the key IMO. After all teenagers aren't short on cash (although they claim to be). Norway has even more expensive alcohol (as well as more expensive everything else ). But I don't think young norwegians drink as much.

Drinking is a national sport in Denmark. Don't know if the use of alcohol has gone down the last 5 years, I stopped reading statistics about it. But Denmark has for many years drunk more per capita than its neighboring countries and quite a bit more.
In my experience alcohol isn't that harmful unless you drink more than your body can take or you are drinking because you're trying to escape other problems. If you are sad/angry when drinking the chances of you doing something stupid might increase.

alcohol is fairly cheap here
cost me a fiver each for 70cl bottles of vodka (well, "Vodkat").

ouch, i look back at those posts and wonder how the hell you managed to make sense, its very impressive lol.
and i agree Tom, smoking is a horrible habit, and for some reason, it seems to be something everyone has started doing again.
Most my m8s smoke, me NOT included, and its a disgusting habit.

And i drank in a fairly good mood last night, and i look at the texts ive sent, and wince, but didnt do anything stupid...

When I went to highschool we had a week long trip to England (Birmingham 2 days and London 4 days). And I can vividly recall the dirtcheap alcohol. Noone learned anything on that trip . And a guy named Dan puked all over a glass exhibit at the Cook-Museum. Damn the teacher was mad - and now I'm a teacher (go figure).

I love spring. Flowers are blooming and the trees are light green. Days so hot you can barely go outside and evenings so bitter cold that you freeze your *** off sitting in a boat with 3 friends while fishing and drinking beer. And not a single fish in sight. Not like when I was a kid and we caught one fish after another. And why does beer have to be so expensive when you need at least 12+ to get plastered?? And speaking of expensive - lower the price on cigarettes and coffee while you're at it. And vodka. Like in Russia where you can get a bottle and a pack of the smokes for 2 rubels (or whatever). I wan't to smoke lots of cigarettes and drink vodka while I fish and freeze my *** off - is that too much to ask? And even if we do catch a fish it's probably full of some sort of toxic thingy so we can't even eat it. And what's with that enzone layer or whatever. They tell me to wear sunblock on the afternoons. I'm not wearing any goddam sunblock, I tell you that! So what if I get skin cancer and lung cancer and liver damage and whatnot. They'll probably make up a pill or something to cure it all in one fell swoop. So I can sit in a boat without sunblock getting plastered with my friends, catching no fish and popping an occasional pill. Yep I do like the spring.

My 500 post rant about nothing whatsoever.

It's a bit expensive. About 1 euro for a bottle and 2 to 3 euros for a glass at a bar. Btw. Rabbitz - you still needing those SCs. I am holding a couple for you?
