Helms
Armor
Gloves
Boots
Belts
Rings
Amulets
Weapon

seriously, it depends on the char and the build.

look at the guides here on the site and look for the items under best equipment. those are it.

Kinda a big questions there, Fella, but let me help a bit.

Withthe understandingthat these are for most (but not all) of the 8 classes)

Helms
A Shako goes well for everyone (Harlequin Crest)
Armor
For non-sorcs, Enigma is probably the best. Tals is good also
Gloves
Way too may choices. But this is one area where rare/crafted items
are frequently better than uniques.
Boots
War Travelers is one ofthe best all around. For Necros, Marrowalks
rules.
Belts
Arachnid Mesh is one of the best.
Rings
The good old standby SOJ, or rare rings, or Bul-kathos.
Amulets
Maras is nice, but rare rings can be beter.
Weapon
Way too many choices here.
Shield
HOZ for Pallys, and Spirit Runeword Monarch for others. Maybe stormshield.

Lets see, here are the most popular (in use) and sought after items, some inexpensive, some really expensive:

Helms - Harlequin Crest, Crown of Ages (Harlequin being most popular)
Armor - "Enigma", "Chains of Honor", "Fortitude", Skullder's Ire, Tyrael's Might, Tal Rasha Plate
Gloves - Dracul's Grasp, Steelrend, (rares with IAS, +skills, resists)
Boots - Marrowwalks, Wartraveler, Gore Rider
Belts - Arachnid Mesh
Rings - Stone of Jordan
Amulets - Mara's Kaleidescope, (rare FCR, +2 skills, resists, etc.)
Weapon - "BOTD", "Death", Death's Fathom
Shield - "Spirit", Herald of Zakarum
