Pre-oredered the expansion - now what?

Hi there fellow incgamers

I have just bought the expansion as a Digital Download.

After the payment completed, the site said "Diablo® III: Reaper of Souls™ will download in the background, so when it’s released on March 25, you’ll be ready to play!" and then there was a download button.

What does it mean? Do they mean I can pre-download the expansion so i can play when it's released, instead of having to wait for the download when the servers are mega busy?

(I downloaded the Battle.net App a week ago and then re-downloaded the PTR client, a hefty 15GB which took hours)

But the expansion will change a lot before March i assume. Is it meaningful to download it already in its current state?

If there is something obvious that i missed please correct me

Just like you could pre-load D3V before the servers went up.
But I think the download got pushed to clients just 1 day before release, so don't think you can download now and rummage around for the cutscenes.

Thanks for the replies.

The download button took me to the ordinary "Game management / Download games" page, where the following options were available:

* Game client
* Beta Client (Reaper of Souls) - Battle.net App Beta

Inside the Battle-net Application, the background has changed from red-ish with a picture of Diablo to blugrey-ish with a picture of Maltheal. This could just be coincidence of course.
Nothing extra appeared in the the dropdown menu inside the Battle.net app. D3V with the three different regions + PTR.

So this means, if i understand you correctly, that i can expect the real RoS game client to be available for download a couple of days before release.

Exactly. If you're already using the Battle.net App, it will download the game for you in the background.
Make sure to enable peer-to-peer in the settings and set the download limit to "unlimited".

Seems like these options were set in that way by default, thanks anyway!
