Pre-Buff My Beasties

I'm looking to make a Hybrid Poison Nova/Summoner as it looks like fun.
I read in some of the guides about pre-buffing the minions before swapping back to your usual gear.

Does a +3 summon wand pre-buff my Clay Golem from 1 to 4 points in both Clay Golem and Golem Mastery? Does the mastery aspect remain buffed after switching to other gear?

Thanks

Both GM and Clay get boosted from 1 to 4 points if you use your +3 summoning wand. After switching to other gear both the 4 GM and 4 Clay stay in effect, until you cast a new Golem.

Thanks for that. Does the same apply for skellies? I appreciate I would lose a couple after switching back.

The same applies to Skellies. Although you do loose a few Skellies, the ones that remain will still have the higher stats.

Thanks for that.

One more thing. Skelly heads. Is the best place to find a +3 RS and +3 SM head is in Act1 Normal?

Yeah... and ever since I finally acquired the missing piece of my gear --- a Gull --- I've been thinking about hotkeying the "Unsummon" skill 'cause sometimes I end up with half an army of "Gull skellies" because I forgot to weaponswitch to the wand :-(

EDIT: for the +3 heads: I would assume so. Both are level 1 skills, so by looking for lower level heads you pretty much reduce your chance of getting higher level skills :)

EDIT-2: Of course, you also pretty much reduce your chance of finding that +3 summon +3 SM +3 RS, or that cute +2 necro +3 SM +3 RS +life +mana +mf +resists head...
