prayer/fanaticism/zeal build

Hi!
i´ve read this http://diablo.incgamers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=459992 thread resently and started wondering if u could do somthing like it but whit zeal and fanaticism aura instead.

i was thinking something like this:

Def aura:
20 prayer
1 defiance
1 cleansing
1 vigor
1 redemtion (good sometimes to get some healing boost)

Offensive aura:
1 might
1 Blessed aim
1 Concentration
20 Fanaticism

Combat skills:
20 sacrifice
20 zeal

Str: enough for equip
dex: enough for equip
Vita: rest
energy: none

Weap: Insight(in a archonstaff)
helm: Shako
armor: Enigma (dont have so mutch vigor so tele?)
belt: Verdungo's
boots: Goreriders
gloves: Crafted blood gloves
amu: Seraphs hymn
ring 1: Raven
ring 2: Bul-kathos

Merc: act 2 might
Andys visage
Pride (conc aura)
Chains of honor

Would this be possible to do and still have a good healing boost from prayer(medi aura from staff)?
Would this build be a good crowd killer?
How mutch fhr/ias would i need?
Should i change any gear?
What would be its weakness?

Do you plan on healing in between battles with your cleansing aura or during battles? If during, that's a big no. You'll want to rely on fana for you to reach the next breakpoint. So if you have prayer on,you'll be slower. If you get enough ias on gear to have a 4 frame zeal when cleansing is on, you won't take advantage of the extra ias from fana and will lose equipment spots.

For something like this, I suggest you read SSoG's guide to the abbot.

^I think the whole point is that with a maxed Prayer synergizing the Med on Insight, that it will give a life heal while still being able to have Fana going at the same time.

Anyways, it sounds like a fun thing to try out. The life heal on you is probably beaten by the ability to leech life back, but others, such as casters, will like it. You lack a shield, which makes things tough, as does a lack of PDR, but if you got for max DR, you should be ok. Dungos, Enigma (Although I would use CoH for the res, and just Charge around) and maybe consider a Rockstopper, or CoA for better DR%, res, and the FHR.

I'd go more into detail, but I am tired, and don't have the time. Maybe later.

Straight damage reduction is better than percentual damage reduction, since it's easier to get, doesn't have a cap, and reduces more against weak attacks

thx for the replies :)

well i was planing on fighting whit fanatic/zeal while medi active and because of not having prayer active twice i wondered if its worth the healing it gives you?

the rockstopper and Coh looks like a nice idea because i do lack alot in res and fhr at the moment, however i dont know if i am willing to let the tele go.

That is true, but without a shield, and if he wants to keep that setup, there isn't many spaces available for PDR. DR% However, you can get say Dungo's/String, Coh/Enigma, and Rock/CoA much easier then the amount of PDR to be worth while.

In the end, you will be healing maybe ~20 life a pulse (?), which like I said is good for party play, but considering you could leech back a couple hundred life per hit x5, its healing to you is moot.

Major style points though.
