    Post your system spec.

Couldnt find a thread on this with a search, if there is one running just point me in the right direction.

Here is my current (fairly old with some upgrades)

    Asus 4-core dual sata motherboard
Intel 2.6ghz dual core cpu OC to 3.2ghz (E5300 from memory)
    2GB OCZ PC2 6400 ram
    250GB Seagate barracuda hard drive
ATI Radeon 4890 1GB Graphics card.
Antec Basic 650W PSU (Blew my last PSU, this is just to carry me until I get my new pc)
Jeantech Nix case (Worst case I have ever owned.)
    24" monitor @ 1680x1050
    Windows 7 Pro

Currently getting componant quotes for my new build
    i7 950 or an AMD 965
    6gb DDR3 1333mhz tripple channel ram.
Whatever decent motherboard my supplier stocks with usb 3 and e-sata.
    Prolimatech Megahalems cpu cooler.
Antec LanBoy Air case (These look like too much for to play with)
Most likely keeping my 4890 for a while before upgrading to a nice 480 with a 3d monitor.

Laptop wise a nice little HP Compaq TC4400 software overclocked for light gaming like Leage of Legends.

    How about you?

    Re: Post your system spec.

I would love a new computer but I have got too many bills + so many other things I want to buy that I make do with my current rig:

    EVGA 750i FTW
    Intel C2Q Q9550 @ 3.4GHz
    4GB Corsair XMS2 1066 MHz Ram
    2x GTX 260 core 216 in SLI
    Coolmax 950W PSU
2x 500 GB WD Black HDD
    1x 1TB WD Black HDD
    Xclio A380 case
Dual boot Windows XP 32-bit & Windows 7 Pro 64-bit
    24" Dell monitor
    Logitech g11 keyboard
    Logitech Z-5500 speakers

and a cheap-o Acer Aspire laptop for work/internet when traveling.

    Re: Post your system spec.

My current setup was worthwhile maybe a year or so ago, but now it's a poor mans setup to run the more requiring games with highest resolution on medium settings (even though you'll still probably experience some lag).

    Abit AW9D-Max
Intel 32 bit dual core something processor at 2.66GHz I believe
1x 1GB of RAM (total of 4) running in dual channel mode or something of the like (it's been a while since I messed around with my PC, I have no idea what is what anymore)
EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS 256 MB
idk what the power supply is... probably 500W (lol)
300 GB drive @ 7,200 RPM (Western Digital maybe... idk)
    Some off brand case
A4 Tech X7 mouse with variable speed
    Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard 4000
MAG Innovision 22" widescreen with I believe 3000:1 contrast ratio

I haven't changed anything in it for such a long time. We have 5 computers in my house and the above is mine (I believe the most capable out of all of them). At the time this gear was bought it cost something over a 1000 dollars, now the graphics card is obsolete, the processor probably forgotten about, and Abits I can't even find anymore in the stores I frequent.

    Re: Post your system spec.

    CPU: i7-920 @ 3.0 Ghz (OC'd)
    RAM: 6 GB Corsair DDR3 1600
    GPU: XFX Radeon HD 5850
HDD: 60 GB OCZ Vertex SSD + 640 GB Western Digital Black

I think I'll try to image my system drive (the SSD) over to a bigger SSD with enough room to store some games like Starcraft and such. I also wouldn't mind trying a different cooling solution on my CPU while I'm at it.

Strangely I had an old Abit Fatal1ty come into work the other day (I work in a pc repair shop at the moment) Hadn't seen one in years.

Their last news update was back in 2008, not sure if they are still going or not.
    http://www.abit.com.tw/page/en/index.php

Im still waiting for 120GB ssds to become sligtly more affordable, would like to move to 2 120s when I have the cash in future, they may be wortless at thaht point though. Ill keep dreaming of this for the meantime. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-052-OC&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=1427

Also te Prolimatech Megahalems are great if you have enough room in your case (they are BIG) and with some silent fans on it, cant be heard under other system fans. The best affordable cooling system on te market in my opinion.

    Case: Antec 1200
    Motherboard: ASUS S-775 P45 P5Q3
    GPU: GeForce GTX 280
PSU: Intel E8500 3,16 GHz dual core
    RAM: OCZ DDR3 2 GB (x2)
HDD: Samsung 1 TB 7,2k RPM
    PSU: PCP&P Silencer 750w Quad

I've later added a different wireless card than I used to have (can't recall the name), and a sound card with 5.1 surround and some new speakers. Price of the whole rig is probably in the 1400-1500€ price range atm. >_>

Edit: Price is from back when I bought the system. It would obviously be much cheaper now. XD

    Q6600 @ 3 GHz
    4 GB of RAM
    AMD Radeon 4870 1 GB

I still don't see a need to upgrade after three years. Paradigm shift coming up?

I have, however, fervently upgraded my audio chain to the point where it costs far more than the PC rig itself.

Auzen Prelude -> Meier Cantate -> Sennheiser HD800.

    Re: Post your system spec.

    Mobo: MS7973
    Socket:S-775
    Processor:Intel q9300 @2.5ghz (stock) Quad core
    Memory: 2x2gb ddr2 ~1000mhz
    Graphics Card:Asus EAH5750FORMULA
No god damn idea what the rest of the stuff is.
    Blueray reading CD/DVD burning drive.
2x 500gb SATA II drives. (No idea about the speed.)
Case, powersupply, fans ect are the ones that come with a standard SCALEO-P computer.
    OS: Win7 ultimate x64
Audio and Network cards are integrated, but they are very good (2.1 audio and 1gigabyte /w wireless :))

This baby runs everything except SC2, Crysis & gta4 at very high or ultra. The mentioned ones either have horrible optimization or high reqs.
    EDIT: I just noticed I can run SC2 @ ultra again :D w00t!
    Also I can run FFX & X-2 @ 60fps via PCSX2 (YAY!)

My laptop has an ancient 1.5ghz amd processor, integrated amd graphics and 512mb of ram (ddr 2?) and a 80gb hard drive.
(It's an old acer laptop) OS: WinXp & Ubuntu 10.04

Mice: Razer Mamba for desktop, verbatrim rapier v2 for laptop
Mousepads: Razer Megasoma for my desktop and a cheap allsop gaming mat for my laptop.

Fatal1ty headset (HS-1000) & Creative Gigaworks T40 provide my sounds.

Keyboards are 2x Logitech Ultra Flats. ( My laptop's own keyboard is broken, along with it's touchpad.

WebCamera is Micro$oft Lifecam HD 5000 or my Laptop's integrated webcam.

External hard drive is a lacie 1TB "design by neil poulton" black-box.

Also my screen is an old LG flatron WIDE LCD screen. 2000:1 contrast. 1440x900 resolution so I think it's 22'? Not the best but it's okay ^_^

I'm thinking about getting new computer next year, with an budget of 750-900€.

(crossfire EAH5750's, 6gb of ddr3 ram & a powerful AMD x6 processor with good cooling (Must overclock more :D))

I have a Nvidia 9600gt on my shelf that I got from my friend when I gave my old GPU to him. If I buy a new computer I can retire my current one and either use it for other stuff or make an server & VD computer of it.

Ps. There I go again, a wall of text.

Pps. I could add my VERY old win 98 computer here....

    WIN! :jig:

I've been meaning to play FFX for a long time, I just can't be bothered with bringing the PS2 back from my brothers place. Btw do you use a keyboard or a gamepad?

Oh and mind sending me a link to that program if you got it laying around? And last but not least... sorry for the OT :girly:

I guess to not go totally OT and perhaps redeem myself slightly... I use a Logitech MX518 mouse. :)

    Re: Post your system spec.

My dad tells me that they pulled out, but I still see their website up; however, it could be just for drivers. I never really had problems with any Abit, and my dad and I are big fans of their motherboards. We never had a problem with any of them and sometimes they come nicely equipped. My motherboard comes with a micro Guru utility that allows me to control the voltage on my processor, fan speed, and allows me to overclock hardware right from Windows as well as have it automatically change the overclock settings depending for different programs. It's pretty nice :D And of course when I take off my case cover, it has 6-7 LED's behind on it, and it looks like a Christmas tree ^.^ But that's just eye candy.

I was a fan of the Fatal1ty line of products, my heahdphones are still going, im not sure what I could call the gold standard at the moment. possibly the asus ROG line.

wiki edit: " The brand name "ABIT" and other intangible properties, including patents and trademarks, were purchased by Universal Scientific Industrial Co., Ltd. (USI) in May 2006.

Their parent company, Universal Scientific Industrial, has closed the brand as of 31 March 2009.[1]"

Today is a sad day for me now. :(
