Poor man's Frenzy viable?

I've bever made a frenzy barb and I was frustrated with Whirlwind's perfomance on LoD,soI was thinking about going for a change this ladder. Will I be able to make frenzy work with, let's say, Runemasters or Uped Butcher's Pupil?

Pure Melee Via physical attacks on the untwink is really really tough.

If you can afford Runemasters you'll have no problem. Leveling up with a pair of regular Butchers is really powerful.

So...yes. Totally viable.

I've used butchers for frenzy and they work real well - until you get to hell. You will need to upgrade at that point.

Definitely viable - I've done it with Baranar's Star and Cranebeak, and I used Butcher's Pupil for a while in Hell as well.

The two weapons you mentioned should be fine.
