Poor man's answer to PI

Assume I don't have access to high runes or the best elite uniques, what is the best option for Fanazealots dealing with PI monsters. I could probably scrape a Lawbringer or Crescent Moon but not sure either the sanctuary aura or the static would cut it in hell. Opinions welcome...

Baranar, gimmershred works very fine imo and you play RWM obviously, just use imba Lawbringer

any source of sanctuary aura will cut it for undead, but that doesn't cover everything...

Any source of decrep or amp works even if only to proc and then switch back to your main wep.. some examples would be lawbringer (right?), fetid sprinkler... Any magic or rare fast weapon to smack with that gives 5% ctc amp on attack (only lvl 1 :( )

Not the most practical, but definitely one of the most stylish:

The Gavel Of Pain
Martel de Fer
Two-Hand Damage: (152-170) To (257-287) (204.5-228 Avg)
Required Level: 45
Required Strength: 169
Base Weapon Speed: [20]
+130-160% Enhanced Damage (varies)
Adds 12-30 Damage
+50% Damage To Undead
5% Chance To Cast Level 1 Iron Maiden When Struck
5% Chance To Cast Level 1 Amplify Damage On Striking
Level 8 Amplify Damage (3 Charges)

Attacker Takes Damage of 26
Indestructible

1 pt Sanctuary is best as pharphis said.. Others you can just skip for the most part. Also, merc with Reaper's toll.

(Long time, no see SPF!)
Zenigma has a good point!
5% chance to amplify (Atma's Scarab) works wonderful with the speed of Zael! (Non Undead)
Vs Undead 1 pt in Sanct is more than enough.. (Try Arcane Sanctuary..)
I always have Atma's in Cube to switch amulets in case Merc with Reapers disappears... ) Travincal comes to mind ;)

I actually picked up one of these yesterday, and it was a near-perfect roll, too: 169-286. I didn't realize it could break any immunity in the game. (Ah, I see it can't, per below. Still interesting--I'm not very familiar with Necro skills.) Too bad the Amplify doesn't have more charges, but I guess you probably wouldn't need to many in practice.

There are some monsters that even Amp can't break. They are rather rare, but if you want to be fully covered, elemental damage + Conviction is the way to go.

An immortal king partial set paired with conviction could really pack some punch, but I'm guessing you really don't want to have to swap out all of your gear to deal with those occasional non-undead PI. Throw a scarab on there and you'll carve through those enemies like butter.

So are there unbreakable Physical Immunes in the game?
For example, what if you char was using Amplify Damage while the Merc was using a Reaper's Toll? Would the amplify and decripify stack and break the PI, or would it just top out at 100?

Cursed generally overrride previous curses. (There is one curse that cannot be overridden, and some skills that don't act like curses: A monster can be stacked with a Curse, and the Amazon's Inner Sight, just not two Curses.)
Yep, there are some Stone Skin monsters in Hell who can be unbreakably Physical Immune.
